There’s a bit of walking involved if you’re staying in one of the tents so I would ask for another room if you have difficulty moving around or walking!

We received a super warm welcome from the Camp Figtree team who were helpful every step of the way. The attention to detail was incredible - from our room, to helping us plan our day and beyond. We couldn’t have had a better stay and the photos don’t do the location and hotel justice. What. a. place. We’ll be back soon!!

We stayed in the tent room which was very unique and had gorgeous views. The standalone bathtub was great. The staff were friendly and the management team were good at resolving any issues.

Unfortunately I wasn't fond about the borehole water that had flakes in the flask for the morning coffee.

Stunning location with the most beautiful view. The staff is super attentive and the owners come by several times a day to support your plannings and ask if everything is fine. The rooms are very clean and have an amazing view as well. It’s so calm and peaceful. Food is delicious. It was a perfect holiday, nothing that could have made it better.

There was nothing to dislike!

A beautifully situated location, convenient for any great outdoor adventures! Alternatively if peace and tranquility is you thing, this is ideal! With catering standards above average offering some delicious local cuisine. All of this is well rounded off by very good service, delivered with warmth from a caring staff. The very best of South African hospitality!

Great Location - a little hard to get there but we made it through hail and rain on the bumpy road with a small car (Renault Kwid) so I guess you can come with any car. Beides the nice room and the great view what was really outstanding were the people who work there. As mentioned we had a quite rough arrival and then we realized that we made a mistake in the booking (one Day later then we expected) but they made it possible that we could stay anyway even at the same fee. And really gave us such a warm Welcome and good feeling. I have visited many 5 Star hotels but this was really outstanding.

The rooms where crazy crazy hot. You need to make a plan for air-conditioning. You will struggle to get repeat business. What ever you need to do to get air-conditioning do it. It will change your business

Amazingly beautiful location: view, interior, buildings, friendliness, food…we immediately felt at home and even as it was raining during the day you simply sit on the restaurant porch and relax. We had a „tent“ which it actually is, but from the inside it is a cozy lodge in itself with beautiful views. The team has the same positive power like the location: helpful, happy and super friendly. One of those energy places you read about. Here you can experience it.

Theres literally nothing.

Camp Figtree is a experience of a lifetime. Chris and Lauren were the greatest hosts we have met. They talked to us every morning and evening and asked how our day was. The staff is unbelievable attented and friendly - the Camp has the best look and nature. We booked a Full Game Drive trough the Addo Elephant Park. Special thanks to Norma who made it such a great experience !

We had an amazing two night stay at Camp Figtree. Such a tranquil and peaceful place to be with outstanding views. Staff were great and made you feel very welcome. Food and accommodation was superb. We will definitely return back one day in the near future.

Service was friendly but slow, little things like room not being cleaned as we were sleeping late, and hot water ran out on the last morning. Overall very good but just little service misses we had to chase up were annoying.

it rained lots when we were there which meant that we didn’t have the gorgeous view and was pretty hard to sleep with the sound of rain on your tent! can’t be controlled though so still a 10/10 experience

stayed in the tent and it was luxury! Especially loved the bathtub with the view and the turn down service with hot water bottles and turning on heaters so it was nice and snug by the time we finished dinner. Lovely restaurant too and delicious food. We had an amazing safari guide and experience with the elephants.

Our stay at Camp Figtree was like a dream. It’s located in the hills of Zuurberg near Addo elephant national park. You are going to have breathtaking views from the luxury tents. The stuff is beyond great. They take care of you with whatever you’ll need. The suites are unbelievable beautiful. We only had two nights there and I would recommend staying longer to enjoy the views, the sundowner, the freshly made breakfast, a nice cup of tea with a piece of cake in the afternoon or a drink at the fire place in the restaurant area/by the pool. Do some recommended game drives and enjoy yourself.

At night, it's a bit dark to get back to the room after dinner. Maybe a few more lamps that side.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were big and very comfortable and private. The food was delicious. The views and surroundings beautiful.

Not a bad thing but just for awareness, and the property do mention this in advance so we were well aware - the final 10km of road up to the property is not in great shape and whilst we managed with a little VW Polo, we had to take it very slow in case of punctures (we wouldn't have wanted to do the trip more than the minimum 2 trips (in and out)) - this was the only part of our 10 day car hire that would have required maybe a sturdier vehicle / 4x4 so we didn't think it was worth spending the extra money on a better vehicle but some may wish to do so

Stunning views from the balcony - incredible sunsets over the mountains. Huge room - large 4 poster bed with mosquito nets, very large shower and bath too. Property is 'off-grid' so far less susceptible to the load shedding events that were so common during our 3 week trip around South Africa. Staff were fantastic, always available to help. Food was very good also. Lots of activities available to book through reception which was convenient (e.g. game drives in Addo NP, giraffe walk (highly recommended - we walked within a few metres of wild giraffe for around 30mins))
