United StatesWe loved everything about this small hotel and chose to stay their twice during our month in South Africa. The staff were exceptionally warm and attentive to our needs. Their attention to details was exceptional (like chocolates on our pillows and a minibar that was included in the room price).The hotel itself is beautiful and the setting, high over Jo-burg with sundrise and sunset views makes it really special. Though a 45 minute taxi drive from the airport, we considered it well worth it and will stay there again in a heartbeat. It was too chilly to swim and we were too busy to climb the trails, but those options would only add to the value of this experience. Our "home away from home" in Jo-burg.

South AfricaA hidden gem in an amazing location. The hotel has amazing views from the top of Northcliff Hill. The room was clean and very comfortable, the staff were amazing and the Chef prepared 2 dinners for me which were delicious. The breakfasts were also fantastic. Will definitely be back :)

Our second stay at this incredible boutique hotel - and if anything everything was even better than the last! The staff, food and facilities are amazing and you can tell every staff member is proud of their hotel. A family feel is definitely achieved and my only concern that as their popularity grows we may struggle to get a vacancy the next time we’re even remotely near enough to stay. Thank you to everyone!

AustriaA Hotel that makes you feel Welcome from the very First Moment on! Cindy and her entire Team are at your Service from entering the door. We arrived late morning, however coiud geht a marvellous Brunch though. Whennaskimg for Restaurant recommendation they offered us a Braai in the evening, which was so tasteful, huge portions, good wine...Just to enjoy the evening. Poolside very nice, comfortable sunbeds, Drinks available any time. Superclean rooms, fresh and tidy. Breakfast on the second day was incredible, both cold and hot choices were marvellous. All accompanied by the friendly Staffel Made US feel like Home. Definitively a place to recommend and to return!

It is really a lovely, small boutique hotel, with much customized service! The view is outstanding for Johannesburg and let the guest forget of being in a big city! Absolutely great is the 20min trail from the hotel to the top of the Northcliff. The food is also very good. Exceptional is that it is possible to sleep with open doors: i felt very safe, which is not normal in Joburg! The staff gave me the feeling of being not only a guest nut somehow part of “family.”

Everything ! The boutique itself is so tranquil and stunning. Caters for every need possible! The facilities our amazing. The extras provided at no extra cost is a first and we have stayed in 100’s of hotels and this adds an extra touch. The food is out of this world ! The staff ; Cindy , Phindy (chef ) Connie and all others are the nicest people you will ever meet ! So kind, thoughtful, happy and helpful. They all go above and beyond to make your stay the most enjoyable experience you have ever had in any hotel. There is not much not to like about The Cliffside Boutique Getaway. The venue is located on Northcliff hill with great views of the Northern Suburbs of Jhb. Its beautifully decorated and so are the rooms - its difficult to decide which one to book. Mmatau, Phindi and Elias were so professional, kind and attentive. The room was very comfortable with all that one could need. The breakfast was delicious. Thank you for the care shown.
