Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

ZambiaThe TV in my room was not working despite reporting no one attended to it the entire period so l didn't get to keep up with current affairs world wide.
Breakfast,the manager was always welcoming made us feel at home,she would help with info on places of interest,the serenity of the environment and cleaness of the entire facility.We were upgraded to a 3 bedroomed apartment when they discovered confirmation for change of dates on our booking was not done which we absolutely loved as well.

South AfricaThe climb up to the room with a heavy suitcase. When I came in late the last night the parkings were full or people had parked badly so I was forced to park in an area that was prohibited. I felt secure but I don't know why because I only ever saw the owner of the B&B
The view and the spacious room. The bathroom was great and the shower was perfect. Enjoyed the fact that it was so close to the ICC Durban for a build up that I was involved with and had come to Durban for. Access was good and well sign posted.

They always find ways to make your stay more pleasant, from finding out what time you'd like to have breakfast, when you schedule is tight to suggesting activities for you to do in Durban that would be safer. Thank you Portia for making my stay the most amazing I've had in my life, a piece of me remains here and I will keep coming back. What a time of relaxation!
