How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

That the jacuzzi and pool was not clean.... And that the jacuzzi was not working yet it was advertised on the booking app so we expected it to be working

The kitchen could do with a minor face lift. But it's not too bad
The place is a hidden gem. Very comfortable bed, cute room and well kept property. The owner was very responsive and well mannered. Definetly value for money.

Pool wasn't very clean on the first day, they should have cleaned before guests arrived but it was cleaned on the next day. There's hardly ever anyone at reception for any questions throughout the stay. The tea cups in the room did not have spoons to mix the tea. We were not told that there was a communal kitchen for anything we needed to put in the fridge, figured that out on our own. No housekeeping throughout the stay. Clean towels and more Toiletroll were not given on a daily basis unless we asked.
Location was secluded and private which I liked. Room was beautiful and clean. Outside porch area and view of pool was amazing

I booked B&B but did not get breakfast we had to wait so long at the gate was disappointed on arrival there was no one to welcome you a young man was there he knew nothing about that place asked were do we have breakfast in the morning he doesn't know he say need to speak to my parents Saturday morning tried calling on the number going to voice-mail we had to buy breakfast this is a scam on booking. Com it says B&B but we got nothing for me it is a ZERO 00000000

Pool was dirty, no one bothered to clean it for us. Jacuzzi wasn't working. Unprofessional service, had to wait until they figured out which room we booked. Sheets and bathroom was abit dirty. Cupboard door was faulty, shower mixer kept falling, toilet seat was broken. Not enough towels, no complimentary items. No key for glass sliding door nor a trellidor, felt unsafe.

I requested a remote to come and go as I wish. I was assured that there would always be someone to open/close the gate. Returned at 2150pm, phoned numerous times, no answer. Blew hooter loudly and long enough to wake the neighborhood. About 20 minutes later I saw a call from Cosy because I guess they had to answer because of incessant calling. Someon arrive 5 minutes later to open--totally unacceptable. Table lamps were not working and one of the plugs was hanging out of its box. The kettle had to be taken to a plug only to find nonein the room were working. Went to the kitchen and found kettle could switch on. A little later, all of a sudden the plugs came on?? Limited TV channels! Hand wash basin plug would not open. I mentioned all of this so that your new visitors would not be subjected to this.

The cleanliness and evidence of mould and rat droppings and spider webs in some areas.
I liked how spacious the rooms were and that we had both a bath and shower. There is so much potential with this property but the poor maintenance of the property is eating away the beauty of the place.
