The location is stunning with a 280 degré view towards nature. Breakfast offers big choices with several tasteful dishes. Staff is friendly and attentive. I particularly enjoyed the outdoor shower that was part of room number 1.

Stylish, comfortable, friendly and relaxed property with a great team. Breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed two lovely evening meals, one of which was a set meal on Valentine's evening. The food and wine were both excellent. Loved the quiet location just outside Plettenberg with countryside and mountain views. We used it as a base to visit Robberg Penisula, Plettenberg and Tsitsikamma NP. Great room overlooking the lovely gardens and pool. Really glad we chose this property as attention to detail and lots of personal touches made it a memorable and special stay.

Best place we have been during our SA trip. The lodge is very spectacular situated with a view on the mountains. The garden is a stunner. The restaurant is great. You get perfect food and they have a nice wine list, all for very reasonable prices. Would just go to this place when I am in the area again.

Gorgeous boutique hotel a short drive from Plettenberg. The staff is incredibly kind and thinks of everything. The food is fantastic. Amazing views from anywhere on the property. We did not want to leave!

Every single detail was looked after from the moment we arrived. From the delicious breakfast to the beautiful turndown and warm water bottles in bed. The staff were very attentive, the design and finishes were high quality and the view of whiskey creek beyond beautiful. I would recommend this stay for anyone who enjoys luxury and high quality service.

The lodge was absolutely stunning! We went over a very cold weekend and they had the fire roaring and the attention given to us made us feel so welcome and special. The food was incredible too. We will definitely be back!

Faultless service by James, Alice & the their team - nothing was too much for them. The rooms are spacious, comfortable & luxurious. CCL has been open for only a few months & no doubt once its first season has past, it's going to become super popular.

Words cannot describe enough what we felt during our 2 nights stay in this lodge, it was all just perfect, the views, the tranquility, the hospitality of everyone, from GM James who welcomed us and made sure every now and then that we're doing great, to Joshwill and Brandon who took care of us during the whole time. And on top of everything is the FOOD by the magnificent chef Alice. We felt like we're eating in a michelin star restaurant. We will remember this experience for the rest of our life! For sure...

The formal nature of the breakfasts and dinner ... the food was delicious, but when the lodge is more busy I would recommend a buffet cold breakfast and a few items to choose from for the hot breakfast. Sometimes people just want a smoothie, or something small and easy. Dinner - an ala carte type meal every dinner is a bit too much for us (although delicious!), we would have liked an Ottolenghi style buffet... inspired salads and fish, meats to choose from and bob's your uncle. This will definitely be easier for the kitchen when the lodge is busier. I know if we had asked Alice and James they would have obliged our indulgences.

Beautiful, beautiful views; well appointed rooms; lovely dining area; great coffee; friendly staff - they will do well once fully trained. Appreciate the child-free policy. James and Alice are a wonderful duo and their passion for their profession will ensure the lodge's success!
