Great location near the museums and the historic area of Swellendam. Very comfortable room and great breakfast. Amazingly friendly and helpful host who has a real passion for his business. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone heading for Swellendam

Could use add'l electric outlets but made do. As a solo traveler, Swellendam is limited in things to do especially on a Sunday. But that has nothing to do with the guest house, just a comment to help other solo travelers.

The guest house is great, a lovely room and lovely pool area as well as front yard garden and shared seating lounge.

Lack of storage for cloths.

Breakfast was good and set up for the day. there was not much choice but satisfied us very well. Comfortable bed, shower good. Only problem was insufficient storage, drawers, hangers etc but ok for a couple of nights Location good, access to museum, shops, chemist etc

We fell in love with this beautiful house, well located in the center of Swellendam. Great breakfast ! Etienne, Richard and the whole team are doing a marvellous job ! Regretfully we only stayed one night. Many thanks for a wonderful stay !

Amazing family staff. So helpful from restaurant recommendations to surrounding highlights. How best to get to attractions and what to look out for. Gave detailed advice on where to stop and what to look out for on the drive to my next location. The rooms are fitted out with period furniture to suit the age of the house, but still super comfortable.

Regretted that I only booked one night. The area has a lot to offer.

A very warm welcome from Etienne who proved a fount of knowledge and suggestions. The room was comfortable and uniquely furnished. The easily accessable Cyprus's Cottage is very centrally located on the main street and close to several restaurants. The excellent breakfast was served on the terrace overlooking the beautiful front garden. Comfortable sitting room for guests. Secure private parking.

The restaurants in Swellendam were rather average.

The rooms are very stylishly furnished, the beds are magnificent and the hosts were lovely. A big bonus was the pool. Breakfast on the front porch was also a real highlight of our stay.

Our family appartment had some carpets which seemed to need a renewal.

Breakast was delicious and served with so much love outside in their garden paradise. The kids also loved the pool, we appreciated very much the entire outside area and the surroundings.

Etienne was very welcoming and greeted us when we arrived. The bed was very comfortable, the location is great and the breakfast was lovely…whats not to like. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Swellendam.

The hosts were super friendly and helpful. The cottage is centrally located. Great cafe opposite of the hotel. The room had everything you need. And pool and sun beds were perfect for a relaxed afternoon on a hot summer day. Since it is an ancient building the rooms are furnished in the style of the old days. But that is more about personal taste.

Spacious room in a beautiful old building, located in the centre of Swellendam. Very safe to walk around. Backup generator on site, so not affected by loadshedding. Good value for money.
