Some of the utensils are very old and some of the features of the homestead requires serious maintenance, e.g. the doors to the "stable" where the braai facilities are, the braai itself, etc. Would like to suggest that you are provided with wood and ice on a daily basis, without having to pay extra for it, if you are staying for more than one night.

Very serene, quiet and picturesque location. Excellent facilities. More than enough sleeping capacity.

Perhaps there could be more innovation with the meals for lunch and dinner. For a full board and at the cost we expected a bit more breathtaking meals.

The area is beautiful. Several activities to do. Good and friendly service. Perfect place to switch off from daily stresses. Breakfasts were amazing.

Cosy, comfortable, peaceful, great food, friendly service, fairly priced, massages were enjoyable. Great activity options with no pressure to do anything if you simply felt like relaxing.

I loved everything from the place, food, activities, Stuff and our room. This was our second time here and i knew we had to come back because i could forget their delicious biltong soup. This time their oxtail stole my heart. I miss seeing Tim around, he took us on the bush tour last time in 2021, loved the guy that did ours this time as well. You dont even have to look for the stuff, they not in your face but always there making everything so seamless. They respect service

First night there was no hot water, no wi-fi in the rooms.

The food was delicious and the hiking trail was challenging. We also has a mid day ride on the quads which was very exceptional. Staff was very friendly and helpfull. They lit up the indoor fireplace every night which made the room nice and warm.

Thoroughly impressed with Dawson’s- excellent value for money. The food in particular was excellent, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. Additional activities and drinks here are very reasonably priced. Staff friendly and courteous

Traveling is amazing but.... Traveling on your birthday is special and if you travel to the right place then it's priceless. Dawsons is the gift that keeps giving nothing short of amazing. The pictures honestly don't capture the beauty of this place and the warm hearts that brings life to this amazing farm. I had the pleasure of spending my birthday with the amazing Dawsons family Zaph, Diana, Msoni, Nari, Jerry and team. When they say it's the people that make the place, I indeed lived it during my stay the service, the engagement, they were amazing. Dawson's farm offers more and more, like animals roaming freely in the farm it's definitely a must visit. It is very clean and we'll kept. Definitely a yes from me.💯

No Wi-Fi in the rooms and bad connection in the rest of the property - perfect for a getaway but bad if you need to be in contact with anyone.

Beautiful rooms and service, food included is delicious and you get so much. Beautiful grounds, pool, and walk to a waterfall.

The wooden bridge over the pool is an eye-sore. takes away from the original charm of the classic design and architecture. just my opinion.

We stayed at 14 places over 4 weeks on our trip to South Africa. This was my favourite and probably the only place I would go out of my way to stay at again. The buildings and grounds surprised me because they are even more stunning than the photos. The value is unmatched. We stayed at places that were 3x the cost of Dawson’s and not even half as nice. Most notably, the staff are incredible. Most high-end places will have super nice and polite staff. What struck us about Dawson’s was that the kindness and service was sincere and genuine. The staff care about their work and take pride in making your stay memorable. Our dinner was outstanding and the wine list was exceptionally well put together. I wish I could have stayed a week.
