Best pillows ever - you have a choice of 4 completely different ones. It was lovely hearing the church bells across the road. Being in an old building in one of the few historic towns in RSA was an experrience different to game farms and wine farms.

We should have stayed longer !

This small boutique hotel is charmingly quirky in a very nice way. We had a large room with a fantastic huge bed and lovely bedding and our own small garden area. It is superbly located on the edge of the historical centre with so much within walking distance and yet feeling secluded and quiet. Breakfast was very good and prepared freshly to you wishes. Staff were lovely, chatty and very helpful with advice. Good secure parking.

    I have no faults whatsoever!

The property is in the perfect location to stroll to the centre and enjoy the shops and restaurants! The staff are efficient and friendly! The towels are soft and fluffy, and linen crisp and white, the bed extremely comfortable! A delicious breakfast is served in the morning!

Just thought the bedroom dark as we had the blinds closed as we were on a balcony passageway! Next time we will ask for a different room. Otherwise a very enjoyable stay.

Location. Clean and very good breakfast, very nice man Peter who was very informative and chatty.

Our room was terribly noisy. The church bells across the road are quaint and authentic but quite a nuisance at 02:00 in the morning. Out neighbours were inconsiderate and disruptive since 06:00 on a Sunday morning. Wooden floors don’t help unfortunately. Breakfast staff were audible from early on woke us early.

The location and setting is great.

The staff was really rude. Gave us only one key so I got locked out in the middle of the night at one point. The receptionist tried to blackmail us and made up a bunch of fines and insisted that we needed to pay these fines in cash. We really did not like our stay here and we even left one night early and checked into another hotel instead.

Good location. Cute Bed & Breakfast. Located of safe street.

*Host was quick to lecture us about using the air con the second we arrived and made it very clear (several times) she would prefer it wasn't used as it is too expensive to run- despite the fact it was around 38 degrees outside and the room had little natural air flow. I would also say that given the relatively high price point of the hotel, pressuring guests to not use basic facilities is unreasonable. *Bathroom was dated (tiles were particularly shabby) with generic, low quality toiletries. Shower head was not adjustable and the water pressure was unpleasantly hard. *No free water in the room (you had the option of buying from the mini bar). I would expect complimentary water at a hotel that markets itself as 5* *Hot breakfast options were good but the continental side was a bit bizarre- cartons of cheap juice and pre-prepared fruit bowls set up on the table in advance of you arriving for breakfast.

Excellent central location Comfortable bed Decor of bedroom was in keeping with the style of the manor Staff at breakfast were warm and friendly. The cooked breakfast was tasty (great omelette and eggs).
