We were absolutely amazed by our stay in our DeHoop Collection Cottage. When we arrived we saw so many animals (zebras, ostriches, antelopes...) on the green surrounding the cottages, the children were in awe. We had a great three course dinner and breakfast in the Fig Tree restaurant, which we can absolutely recommend. We also rented some mountainbikes and did a nice tour. Unfortunately, we stayed only for one night. Next time, we would definitely stay longer.

the restaurant could do with better food quality. The chef is vegetarian and sadly the vegetarian options were rather mediocre. We understood the chef wasn't there when we were there. I would highly recommend that the food would be focused on vegetarian with meat or fish on the side.

It's a wonderful one time experience and really worth the drive. Beautiful nature reserve where flora and fauna are number one and people are visitors. Keep that up!

The weather was bad, but not to blame on someone. WiFi only in the restaurant is a bit inconvenient.

Nice little cottage in country style. We stayed only one night and it rained a lot. But there were many different animals around and we used the little pool at the riverside. The dinner and breakfast was very good.

Well, organised and equipped chalet on the reserve. Would recommend as great accommodation if visiting De Hoop.

Service in the restaurant is really slow... but who's on a hurry?

Beautiful location in the heart of De Hoop Nature Reserve. Nature lovers will love it. Cape eland, Cape mountain zebras, bontebok, Cape grysbok, grey rehbok are unmistakable. Knysna woodpecker is around the cottages.... The beach at Koppie Allen is very nice (great dolphins patrol) The local restaurant was delicious.

Absolutely wonderful and peaceful stay. One of the most beautiful places I've been and the cute little fishermans cottages we're perfect! Great for Braiing as well. Only thing I would note is bring more food for self-catering as the cottages are fully equipped as the restaurant food was alright.

The road. We are two elderly people and it would be good if we could go to thebeach, but the gate was closed and it was a bit too far to walk all the way.

The animals, the restfulness and the friendly staff. The restaurant and the museum. We loved the boat ride, but it started to rain and it was spoiled.

In the middle of the Nature Reserve and animals right in front of the house! The houses are a bit vintage, but for this kind of style very cosy.

We were there as a group of 14, from reservation to staying everything was amazing! Stunning, an absolut must do, such a wonderful area, nice chalets, super kitchen, great tours (we did the Marina and the vultures tours, both very recommendable), so much nature experience, we will come back for sure

The road heading towards the property is long (40 mins but took us an hour) with lots of small rocks and potholes - bigger car recommended!

This property is unreal, you’re in nature with animals all over and so close to the whale trail. The facilities are great with everything you need, and the restaurant is close by too with Greta food and drink options.

The 50kms of unmade road have a very poor surface, if you are in a rental car be patient and drive very slowly to ensure that you do not wreck a wheel.

The restaurant and food were very good, and the location is superb.
