We really liked the stay here. We will definitly come back! The garden, our room and the whole facility is so beautiful. The people who work here are absolutely friendly and helpful. We also really loved the breakfast! We would really recommend to stay here!

Everything was perfect until the last day where we settled the bill and found the transport the hotel has organised was very expensive. One return journey to Tokara restaurant (5 mins away) cost 600ZAR and when we checked, the same return journey on Uber would have cost 70ZAR. We spent 2500ZAR on 4 short return journeys in 2 days which just meant we felt like we left on a bitter ending. We should have insisted on the prices upfront but when we asked the driver they just said they don’t discuss the payments and the hotel handles them. The hotel reduced the price from 2700ZAR to 2500ZAR and said that Uber can be unreliable in the area but we still feel these charges were unreasonable.

This place is absolutely stunning, the design and decor is so well thought out and beautifully compliments the amazing views. The staff were very friendly and the property had a homely feel to it.

The only thing which I was missing just a bit - absence of gym/fitness room in the hotel. However - you can easily solve this by running and hiking around beautiful surroundings and national parks.

This place is absolutely amazing – it's where we felt at home even though we were thousands of miles away. The feeling of serenity was accompanied by absolute comfort provided by the hotel facilities. The location is fantastic, the team is great, the breakfasts are delicious, the rooms are amazing, and there's a nice selection of wines. Truly one of the best places we've ever visited, and we definitely want to return soon.

Beautifully designed, tranquil and special place. Our room was huge, and super comfortable, overlooking that beautiful pool view. The breakfast each morning was lovely and coffee facilities in the room were also very appreciated.

The check-out bill was more than expected as we were offered a welcome drink but then it actually ended up being a whole wine bottle, added to our bill. The sauna is not included in room rate. And tourist levies and other charges added and a staff tip expected.

Absolutely stunning pool area and goregeous lounging areas including a bar space. Oversized luxurious bathrooms. Loved the sauna too! A real retreat with views and high end quality everything.

It would have been nice to have some form of local transportation to nearby restaurants since there is no restaurant on site, but that's minor! Uber was super easy to book everywhere.

De Zeven is just an unbelievable property. The pool and scenery and sitting areas alone make this a worthwhile booking but the staff are also wonderful. I cannot recommend this stay more!

The bathtub in the middle of the room was kind of weird.

De Zeven is a beautiful hotel! The views are incredible, rooms are large and comfortable, and the service was great. The complimentary breakfast was delicious!

The only minor drawback was the absence of a door to the bedroom and bathroom, but ultimately, this posed no issue at all.

This is truly an exceptional, tranquil, and serene location. Having read the glowing reviews prior to our visit, our experience fully lived up to the expectations. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, and the facility itself is simply breathtaking. The beautifully maintained garden, coupled with the surrounding magical mountains, creates a splendid backdrop. Relaxing by the pool was a delight, and the breakfast was genuinely delicious. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, with exceptionally comfortable beds. I would wholeheartedly recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay at De Zeven. A very warm welcome, excellent service, great breakfast and an amazing view of the mountains. During our 2 weeks trip to South Africa, we stayed four nights here and this was the best and most beautiful and romantic stay. We really enjoyed our stay and can highly recommend De Zeven. Great location. You can reach many beautiful wine yards near Stellenbosch and Franschhoek in a short time by Car.
