Denneboom Vineyards was definitely my highlight of our recent trip to South Africa. The cottage was lovely and had an incredible indoor fireplace that made it extra cozy. We arrived a day later than our booked date. There was a massive storm and lots of roads were closed so we did not reach our destination on time. The lovely manager Liesl was extremely accommodating and moved our stay a day later without any fuss. We were so relaxed, the cottage felt remote and far removed from everyone. The peaceful nature of the farmstay was a exactly what we needed. It is perfectly located, 10 mins from the nearest shops and less than an hour from Cape Town. We will definitely be back.

Photos we looked at didn’t reflect the property we actually stayed in - when booking through Booking.com it wasn’t clear until later which specific unit we’d be in, where we would have preferred to select or request a specific room.

We loved how clean and modern the facilities were, with the ability to access and walk around the gorgeous property. The location was ideal in giving us a remote feel but easy to drive to plenty of vineyards in the area throughout our stay. Liesl, who we worked with for check in/out, was very pleasant and accommodating for us!

The one time there wasn't water. Maybe a Jojo tank is an option.

Loved the cleanliness and all the extras. For example: hairdryers, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand wash, bodu lotion extra. Very comfortable beds. Spoiled with the house keeping every day.

The property was not thoroughly cleaned upon arrival. Housekeeping came, but it was not cleaned well. Only made the beds, wiped a little, washed dishes and swept + modded simultaneously with the mop. A lot of spider webs everywhere, dead flies on the windowsills, dirty underneath the counters, cupboards, appliances, couches, everywhere. The carpet is very dirty, fireplace dirty and made the house smell of smoke. Only surface cleaned. A lot of ants everywhere. Expected more for almost R2000 a night.

Denneboom is a picturesque location situated in and amongst the vineyards. The accommodation itself is adequate providing everything one needs, and doesn't need, like no TV, it was wonderful. If you want time to enjoy your surroundings and have a good break, Denneboom is the place to be. Try their wines, you won't be disappointed.

There are no inverters during loadshedding (so no lights or wifi) and the location is quite far away from supermarkets and restaurants.

We loved the beautiful surroundings and the area is really quiet! The house has lots of nice features and the beds are comfortable. Overall it’s a great place to relax, hang out and be amongst nature. The house also had a rechargeable lamp which was great during loadshedding.

The only suggestion I would make is a one plate gas burner, just so that one can boil water for coffee when there is loadshedding.

We absolutely loved our stay. The unit was very well equipped and super clean. We were welcomed very warmly. We will definitely book again!
