We had the best time in Agterplaas guesthouse. The host did everything to make feel at home : they even upgraded our room for free once we arrived. Besides, they made sure we got everything we needed for our 10 months old baby. The room are very spacious and comfortable, located in a very safe aera in Johannesburg (we could easily go out, have drinks and lunch by foot). And the breakfast, which is included, is excellent. Fresh baked bread, fresh fruits, very good muffins… Thank you for everything !

Everything was Great.

This was the second time I stayed here, the last time was about 7 years ago. Such a warm friendly place to stay. Booking in was awesome, also helped with my bags to the room (Thank you for that) The Wifi was great. The TV wasnt functional, however, I had my laptop so I could easily stream. The breakfast was just perfect. The homemade bread was delicious.

The guesthouse is a very pleasant place to stay for several days in a good, stylish and safe environment There are several offers for rooms, according to your own needs. The very good breakfast à la carte and partly as a buffet should not be missed. The owners are very courteous and helpful, and find together always find a solution together with the managers and staff if there is a problem.

I was in the other building at the main floor and someone upstairs start to work with the hammer at 7am interrupting my sleep. For this matter I don't give a 10.

Location is safe as there are many private police men around, staff is really nice and breakfast is really good. , everything was nice.

Oasis in a lush green zone inside a bustling city. Quiet but the relevant landmarks of the city are easy to reach. Friendly welcoming staff. Glorious world-famed breakfast with a wide choice of home-made healthy stuff. Maybe I should not be this positive as then prices will go up.

A beautiful property in a calm and safe area of Johannesburg. An area full of bars and restaurants (7th street) is just a short walk away. The owners were lovely and kindly let us leave our suitcases on the property while we explored Johannesburg. The breakfast was delicious!

The guesthouse is fantastic and does everything in their power regarding aesthetics, comfort, and security. It is beyond their control that security has become a challenge, and one needs to remain vigilant at all times, so cannot fully relax.

The "old Mellville" arts culture feel and the staff, with their unique backgrounds. This brought back memories for me of the late 80's Mellville.

The only negative of the stay was the cot/third bed, which was very uncomfortable, a mattress on the floor would have been better.

The location is good in a safe neighborhood located on a steep hillside with good views and was quiet. The normal beds were quite comnfortable and the breakfast was very good with homemade bread and plenty of variety.

The house is outdated, or authentic, some mind it some dont.

We enjoyed the hospitality. Everyone very friendly, including the guests. Old school breakfast. Jannie is a musician, we enjoyed the performance and his house is open to all people with smiles on their faces. The street and house is safe, in residential area.
