That our stay was too short

The place is beautiful. huge attention to detail. The small touches everywhere just put one in such a good mood. The owner even helped me with my hired car when I didn't understand how the GPS worked.. The amenities provided-kitchenette and bathroom were so generous..

The host, Janine, was so accommodating and friendly. She met me as I pulled into the parking. So easy-going, she made me feel like this was my second home. Accommodation was rustic and quirky (just what you expect from the Karoo), neat, clean and everything thought out, down to the 3 varieties of mosquito spray! I loved the privacy of being able to sit on my patio sipping the complementary sherry while listening to the clucking of the chickens nearby. Loved the experience!

Our hosts were simply amazing! Nothing was too much trouble and they made us feel like we had a home from home. Firewood and lighters, etc were all ready for us upon our arrival. Our accommodation was beautiful and everything was spotless.

Very cozy rooms. Friendly, accommodating hosts. Great shower! Like a cross between a self catering cottage and a hotel room. perfect for a short stay in Barrydale. Walking distance of restaurants and shops. We recommend it!

A small washup basin is always useful in semi self catering units. The hosts do have a service to collect and clean the dishes in the morning. Although the unit we stayed in did have bedding for 4 persons (Double and 2 Single's), it will be slightly too small for for a family of 4 other than one night sleep over.

We where attended by the owners with great customer service and very helpful and accommodating. They went beyond the call for service. Central location within walking distance from several excellent eateries. There was ample complimentary Coffee and tee. The choice of decorations and furniture is modern country style.

The property has a steep driveway, so a remote controlled gate would've been nice, but it's not the end of the world. So minor.

Janine went out of her way to make us comfortable. Such a great hostess! The space was super functional. It had everything one could need to live comfortably for a few days and its in a great location Even a little guidebook to the area. They really paid attention to the little details. It makes all the difference. Highly recommend! BONUS: My son really enjoyed playing on the wagon outside the room.

Not much to do in the town and many places to eat finish about 5 and closed on Monday and Tuesday!!

Nice clean place to stay if your going that way and nice couple who run it too.
