Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United StatesDorp at located at the top of a very steep hill and you can call an Uber Black for pick up or self drive. There isn't anything really walkable from the location so I would not recommend for a long stay. Also there are many stairs around the property depending on which room you have booked so it not great for people with accessibility needs. We booked a 1 day Cape Peninsular tour through the concierge, our driver was great with roads/directions, however did not give us much information about places of interest.
The staff were friendly, helpful and the breakfast spread was amazing! Loved the beautifully styled interiors and they have a spectacular rooftop terrace where you can view the entire city from. We also had a lovely view from our window from the 2nd floor terrace room. They have a number of event spaces where you can host private dinners/ gatherings.

Absolutely beautiful, classic architecture, tastefully decorated with views over the city, Table Mountain and the bay. The rooms are huge and have every comfort you can imagine. The breakfast is amazing, fresh and featuring several local delicacies. The service is attentive and friendly. We stayed for a week and enjoyed it tremendously. Several swimming pools are also available.

Everything. Dorp is exceptional in every single way. It’s difficult to convey the atmosphere and welcome, but akin to visiting friends. I have never stayed somewhere so relaxed and felt so at ease. The hotel itself is stunning even better than the photographs (if that is possible !). The gardens and terraces provide breathtaking views over Cape Town and Table Mountain. Our room was magnificent, the bed was enormous and soooo comfortable. Early morning coffee on our private terrace gazing at Table Mountain was a highlight of the holiday. Breakfast was faultless. We would like to thank everyone at Dorp for such a wonderful stay and we will be back!

United KingdomThe only thing I can think of is that the hotel is up a very steep hill which many Uber drivers did not like, however it was still possible to get Ubers so not a huge issue.
The decor is beautiful, food is extremely high quality and the staff are all lovely, helpful, happy people. They make you feel so welcome and comfortable. The views of the city are incredible. I wish I could have stayed longer!
