The pictures do not do justice to the beauty of this property. The gorgeous views and tranquil stillness make this the perfect getaway. A truly remarkable accommodation in an absolute gem of a location. Far enough from the busier Underberg central but not so far as to be inconvenient. Sonja has done an incredible job. We will definitely be back.

Sonja is great host. The house is surrounded by beautiful landscapes. Stunning views. The cottage is cosy and meets all the requirement for a quite get away. The fire place kept the place nice and warm.

The drive to the cottage was quite deep in and we have to drive thru gravel road, our car was covered with a lot of dust.

Cottage runs by solar so the hot water has no issue with washing or shower. Fireplace was prepared with sufficient woods. Rooms and bed were comfortable, clean and tidy. Sonja was very helpful and accommodating. The best place in the cottage is the deck where we can watch sunrise. As it was quite cold, we didn't stay out to watch the stars. Will recommend to return.

It would be great if there can be a bag in the kitchen's dustbin. We battled to regulate the temperature of the showers despite having a gas geyser at home. The top element of the gas stove also didn't work.

The view was spectacular! The beds were super comfy and the fire place ensured that even on the cold and wet day we were cozy. The sleeper couch was of great quality as well as the crockery and cutlery provided. The duiker's visit on the last day was a perfect ending to a magical weekend. The location was close enough to the start and finish of the UTD race and easily accessible with a 2 x 4 or high clearance vehicle.

The tranquility of the location, how the host checked in on our progress of trip and advised us of the electrical issue in the area, the house has solar and gas so we never had any issues! Really amazing and enjoyed the stay, I would be back!

Nothing to dislike or complain about.

The cottage was spotlessly clean, with solar energy which was an enormous plus. Sonja was so welcoming and helpful. Most importantly, the cottage is secluded, tranquil with a magical view of the Drakensberg. My sister and I loved every moment of our getaway weekend.

Sonya was great! She communicated really well and phoned me the week before to explain the conditions of the road and how to get to the cottage. She made sure we had a great stay. The one morning I needed help with my vehicle and she went out of her way to arrange for someone to help. We will definitely be back!

We didn't mind the lack of a TV at all, but for a stay longer than a weekend, it might be a nice addition.

We loved absolutely everything. This was our favourite chalet that we've stayed at so far, and we've been to quite a few places in the last 3 years. The house is exceptionally well built and furnished, and is beautiful beyond words. The beds and couches are very comfy, and the fireplace is awesome and more than adequate to keep us warm on -4° mornings. The peace and quiet that is offered at Dragons Landing is better than we've experienced anywhere else. You can barely see any other buildings from the deck. The view of the night sky is incredible, and we could clearly see the Milky Way. Also, we loved that firewood was provided very generously. Thank you for that.
