We were given a room (17) far from the parking - I was not offered assistance with bags, bikes etc (travelling alone with two small kids) Place could be cleaner. Small mice about. One dead right outside our room. dead frogs in pool on arrival.

We felt safe. And the little zulu village vibe set up was nice. The food (braai night) and staff at the restaurant were lovely. Kids loved the Snake Pharm experience and Donald was amazing with them.

A little run down. When walking around the resort (away from the main areas) there was litter. Dinner was expensive (at R290 pp) for South Africans. Night trains rather noisey.

Close to game reserves, close to N2, relaxed atmosphere.

At Duma Zulu you need to be more organised for the guests re load shedding ie no portable torches no candles no anyone to help us only at the restaurant did they appear...

The staff opened the restaurant just for us - we were so impressed and the food was delicious... Thank you Rob for all your help and giving us the opportunity of also staying at Bushlands.

The location in the google map is bad takes you straoght to Bonamanzi gate and the visibility i think you still need 2 or 3 sign boards

When i was there i think the the building the painting showing African art and learning about different leaders of different Nations ,the fire place just the traditional set thumps up

Restaurant was closed so we had to find somewhere else for dinner. Would have been appreciated if they messaged earlier to advise it wouldnt be open. Especially since I had asked the day befire if it was open. Not major, but tv had no remote so we couldnt use it.

Staff at breakfast were friendly and eager

The huts themselves need attention.the thatched roof needs to be treated because there were little insects n worms falling onto the beds continually .lizards n spiders as well too many.there was a few leaks in the roof when it rained.water pressure in the shower was very low . unfortunately kids couldn't sleep there another night . I hope they take this under review as it could be wonderful place to visit .

Place n location is beautiful. Staff were helpful. Nice play area for the kids well kept gardens .loved the traditionally of the place.

The bathroom is really aged not as shown on the website and needed a good scrubbing to remove mildew. .

I liked the daily change of bathroom towels and regularly changed bed linen.

Rooms were not clean, they should use a feather duster, there were spider webs all over. The staff needs abit of training, lady at reception was a little unkind.

Lovely place , especially if you want to unwind for the weekend. Kitchen staff friendly
