Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We were greeted as we arrived and all the staff were very friendly. The room was very spacious and the bed was huge and extremely comfy. Everything was spotlessly clean and there was a well stocked mini bar. Excellent breakfast with a good menu. Nice touches were that the bed was turned down and a scented diffuser lit. Dinner was not available on the day we arrived (which we knew about) but Sarah recommended a local restaurant and booked it for us, it was superb. ( called the Never Mind).

From booking to arrival, assisting us on reservations for dinner etc. was incredible. Sarah really went the extra mile. The massage therapists were so well trained - best massage we have had. Breakfast was yu7mmy and staff all very friendly :) We will be back!

South AfricaDirections not good. We had a lot of trouble finding the place. It is advertised as being in Sy Francis Bay but we found it quite a distance from there.
Breakfast was fine but not large. We asked for breakfast without eggs for one person. Unlike other places there was no extra bacon or sausage or even toast given.

South AfricaWonderful! This little country house is a gem - a source of peace and tranquility, away from the madding crowds over the season. The rooms are oldy worldy, shabby chic but very comfortable with gorgeous beds, lovely linen and very comfy chairs inside and out. The food is really good - dinner was superb and very sophisticated. Nothing is too much trouble and you'll find Desi running around, efficient, warm and friendly and so on the ball. The pool area is lovely, quiet and a great place to chill and read if its hot. We loved our stay here and would certainly come back again.
