Payge, the Host and Zakhele were very helpful at any time and by leading us to the property. Zak did a carwash for a reasonable price. View from terrace is very nice.

We loved the location and drive up to the cottage in the sand but the road is not suitable for a small or low set sports car.

Clean, neat, comfortable, big bed, aircons, privacy, the hosts were always readily available when necessary and informative about loadshedding, best routes to drive etc. The cellphone signals worked even during loadshedding.

Unfortunately with the rural setting comes crowing chickens waking you up from 3am, depending on how soundly you sleep. Be aware that the roads are very sandy getting there on the last short section but 4x4 not required.

Great host, nothing was too much trouble. The air-conditioning is essential and fantastic at night in the heat of summer. Lovely view from the verandah in a rural setting. Gas braai worked perfectly.

I think it's helpful for guests to know that they should let their tyres down before hand - especially if not in a 4x4. Really helps with the sandy road to Dune Cottage. The driveway's condition (thick sand) made it different to access the property in my car (not a 4x4). I got stuck in the driveway and had to dig myself out. So if it's possible, it would be super to have this sorted out. I really would love to stay here again for a much longer period, but with my car it will be hard. Only other thing I'd say (coz I got lost finding the property a few times:) is that more signs would be great. Otherwise I think it's a fantastic place and has a great vibe. Super hosts!

Difficult to find at night if power didn’t come back on as scheduled after load shedding

The place is sitting far from the main road on a sea sand ground. So it is not suitable for a low private car to go in. Also the roads are not marked on the google map, and without help from someone for the place to help go in and out it is impossible. So even when you go to the beach you need the place assistance. The bathroom hasn't enough light and the doors for the shower are only curtain

Very cozy place. A big balcony with a great view. Also braai on the balcony. Can sit in the evening and relax. The room is also big with a sitting place and great tv with Netflix already on. The bathroom is also big. Gas , microwave, toster Frigidaire and full tools for making your meal.

Beautiful cottage with such a comfortable bed and everything needed. The terrace and view are incredible and so enjoyable. also the owner was very helpful and friendly.

the road to the cottage is bad and there where no signs to get there. so we didn have any maps due to the power outage and no signal to call or whatsapp so signs would have been nice.

Its very comfortable and quite and the aircon is the best thing on the hot days.

The property was very clean, it has a beautiful view and we enjoyed the aircon on the hot days. Payge is lovely and goes the extra mile. We did not know the area and Payge gave us all the tips of the nice places to visit that made our stay one of our best holidays. Ideal to get the rest you need after a hard long year!!

The fine print on the booking say's "serviced on request", that is a bit strange and we did not have the room serviced during our stay. Would have been nice to have the room serviced automatically. Unless you have a high rise car, preferably 4 wheel drive, you will battle to access the property. Very sandy 2km road through farm lands to reach the gate. Access road could do with a couple more signs as we got lost first time around on a scary sandy road.

All the basics where available to make the stay comfortable and pleasant. Very comfy bed, great views and enjoyable stay.
