Lack of maintenance. Windows did not open and were badly damaged. TV's in rooms did not work and the fireplace door did not close to maintain heat and safety. Old mattress's left outside in the corridor.

Beautiful, peaceful place to stay. Would have loved to stay longer and enjoy more of the facilities.

It’s a pity there was no shower curtain in the bathroom to use the hand shower, would’ve preferred a shower than bath.

Traveling road to the Equestrian Estate was not too friendly specially that is narrow and difficult to use with other road users

Dinner was lovely, we really enjoyed it. However, we did not have an opportunity to taste the breakfast, as we were busy with other activities until the breakfast time lapsed.

The staff at the 1883 restaurant was a bit slow with service. Apart from that my stay was amazing, I would recommend it for anyone to go .

The restaurant barely had any items on the menu or even meals that were advertised as part of the special - a simple thing like juice was not available throughout our stay. Being woken up as early as 7am by the leaf blower was the worst - a holiday is meant for rest and sleeping in Housekeeping didn't change our towels the first morning. Instead, we had to use wet towels again

We really enjoyed the serenity of the place, the lovely views and animals Roaming freely.

Cleanliness could be better, window blinds were dirty and had bugs As soon as entered room, there was a damp smell, maybe putting and leaving aircon after cleaning room n before guests arrive could help with smell this could also be to the shower with jot enough ventalation Restaurant service was not so great in terms of service - long time to get serviced and the cleanliness of table, plates and utensils was not up to standard however Sifuso there were certain waiters who made up on service such as Sifuso and another lady on our first night - great job to these 2 waiters Hiking trail boards not clear so caused confusion

Some smaller issues that wouldn’t stop us going back such as the room only having a double bed, the place could have been cleaned slightly better (some cob webs in the corners), and no cork screw to open wine. But the restaurant helped us open the wine, the cleaner was super friendly and made up our little ones cot in the cutest way.

Lovely location about 10mins to the Main Street but far enough away that you feel you are in the wilderness. The staff are super friendly. The accommodation was comfortable and had everything we needed for a weekend away.

The dinner menu was good value for money, but was lacking in quality a bit. The room maintenance can do with more upkeep, as the wallpaper was coming off the walls in some places.

The surrounding scenery is amazing and beautiful. The Breakfast was great!

The place is not properly cleaned. The staff needs customer care training. They do not know how to handle client queries. The rooms require maintenance. The dinner menu is so small and limited and the dinner and it’s not nice, they could at least try and make it taste decent.

The rooms definitely needs some love!! Paint chipping off the walls, TV cables hanging from the TV (DSTV doesnt work), lights hanging out of the roof. The Aircon remote did not work so we called the staff and informed them about it a few times and they kept on telling us it will take another 10min. The next day 13:00 we still didnt have the aircon remote and they did not inform us regarding the matter. Only when I went to the reception again, they told us that they cant fix it until monday. No plan was made to bring us a fan or move us to another room. Terrible service.

The breakfast was delicious. The ponds outside the rooms are beautiful. The beds are comfortable.

Attention to details. Curtain rail not properly installed and falling off and cleaning not even bothering about it. The staff bringing tea forgetting the milk. Asking for an iron that never arrived. Small things that are basic but make a difference but overall the staff is friendly and helpful.

The studio apartments were a pleasant suprise. Very nice and comfortable.

The self-catering lodges were disappointing. There were spiderweds and small spiders on every window. Opening the windows was even worse as there were more spiders and webs between crevices. The one bedroom window wouldn't close. We had to stuff paper into it to stop the wind from coming in. The indoor fireplace cover was the wrong size for the fireplace. The bedroom light dimmer switch wasn't working properly. It would randomly switch off and back on.

The estate is a beautiful place, lovely animals horses and deer at your doorstep. The alpacas were a nice surprise. The bathrooms were clean, and the shower was amazing. Bed had an electric blanket that helped on the nights that it was cold.
