The stove-top in the kitchenette is high, on top of a countertop oven, so a bit difficult to use unless you are very tall! This really is a counsel of perfection - everything else was fine!

The space was great - with good views. Lisa and Wayne were great hosts, and very helpful in giving local advice, and dealing with a few little issues, and their housekeeping staff do a great job as well as being friendly. The guest house is lovely and quiet, with the road outside, and the hill path behind, being used by early morning joggers and dog walkers. Car parking was fine, and within an alarmed area. Good coffee machine. The unit is spacious and comfortable.

Lisa and Wayne are very friendly and supportive hosts. The suite is spacious and well equipped. Great location for exploring Cape Town, Southern Suburbs and Good Hope within a short time we had. We really enjoyed our stay there.

The only minor issue was the restriction to only having access to 4 TV channels.

The Dunvegan Lodge was an excellent accommodation, which met our needs. We were particularly pleased with the lodge, pool, and especially the owners, Lisa & Wayne.

DUNWEGAN cottage was our location for three nights. We were in walking distance from the well known golf club Clovelly where it easy to grab a bite to eat. We loved our accommodation together with the warm welcome and help from the staff. We would definitely stay again if only for the delicious coffee and spectacular views.

Stunning location, very close to the wonderful Kalk Bay (4min. by car) and 20steps away from beautiful hiking trails up to a variety of caves. The hosts went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. We will definitely be back.

Hosts were so welcoming and friendly - they were able to recommend walks and ways to get into town plus restaurants and cafes to check out. The property has stunning views that will take your breath away. Lovely bathroom and kitchen with fridge already stocked with milk for our stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Dunvegan Lodge and there was nothing we did not like.

Our host Lisa was super friendly and personally opened up our cottage for us when we arrived. Everything was clean and tidy, from our room, bathroom, kitchen and lounge area, to the gardens and pool area. There were two scrumptious and deliciously fresh pastries beautifully presented for us when we arrived. The property has a gate leading to the mountains behind the lodge with stunning hiking trails leading over the 'Saddle' with picturesque views of Kalk Bay, the harbor, and sea views that need to be seen to be believed. Hiking down the trail into Kalk Bay, we enjoyed a scrumptious breakfast at one of the many coffee shops and restaurants along the seafront before visiting a menagerie of interesting shops and market stalls all within walking distance. When we returned, we enjoyed ice cold drinks on our private patio where we were able to relax and take in the breathtaking views overlooking the golf course and rolling mountains. Lisa went out of her way to ensure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed.

Nothing to dislike. There are a lot of steps, which some people may struggle with.

The location is ideal for a golfing break, being about half a mile from Clovelly golf club. It is also close to Kalk Bay, Simonstown and the route to Cape Point. It is a 40 minute drive from Cape Town Airport. All the major roads can be reached very quickly. You can drive to the centre if Cape Town in 20 to 30 minutes. Clovelly beach is is a short walk , about a kilometre, down hill The property has several different units to let, and we had the studio, which was adequate for our needs for a 10 day stay. It has a small but efficient kitchenette and a large bathroom with shower and bath. There is a good sized sitting area with cover attached to the studio, and guests can use the large gardens with pool and relaxing areas, plus jacuzzi on request. The chambermaid comes daily, and she us very good and friendly. The owners, Lisa and Wayne are the kind of people who become personal friends very quickly to all their guests. Nothing is too much trouble. The mantra seems to be 'the answer is yes, what us the question?'
