Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesSmall things are still in progress as can be expected during an upgrade. This does not take away their passion to uplift the place. Sonja and Trippie cares for the guests and are very helpful.
Under new management. The effort to uplift the resort is noticeable. Visit them to assist them to make this a sought after place. Very easy access with good security. The renovations are well on track. Will stay again!

South AfricaOn arrival, I was told that my booking was not confirmed. The accommodation was not prepared. The geyser was not working and was only repaired while I was waiting. Bath and toilet squeezed in one room and very uncomfortable to use.
The place was easy to find and close to local sight seeing places. Good place for family or groups because of sleeping spaces.

South AfricaThe property should have been marketed as a wellness silence retreat. The rules are absurd, no TV in the rooms, no music allowed whatsoever, one towel per chalet that booked 4 people and if you want more you provide your own extra blankets and towels. All this was never clear from the website and from the messages they sent on the email until they sent a Whatsapp message at 22h17 a day before I checked it, that time I had left home days prior. If this message was clear from Bookings.com I could not have booked, it was simply not for me. A cherry on top was that they begged for a review and when I wrote on my Facebook reviewing them, they came with threats instead of admitting their mistakes.
The rooms are spacious and sheets clean however the cons outweighed the Pros therefore my stay was not that much enjoyable. I couldn't wait to checkout.

South AfricaBathrooms outdated and have to wait almost 1 hour to use toilet after someone used it. Pans for cooking are very old and everything gets stuck. Very limited menu at the restaurant, can only have burgers and toasted sandwiches. 2 single beds pushed together don't make it comfortable for sleeping. Not value for money.
