The Hotel is at the Echo Caves. It is very quiet and scenic. The staff is extremly friendly and supportive. The rooms are basic but functional. Parking directly in front of the rooms. Be aware that a dirt road gives access. Slippery when wet. But overall we were happy staying there.

Nothing but note that at least at this time of year no evening meal or breakfast was available. we didn’t need either - We had coffee from the room for breakfast and some fruit we brought with us on the picnic tables outside the caves. We had a buffet at the forever resort the evening before.

No frills, authentic, exceptional value accommodation. Accommodation run by the family that (re)discovered the caves in 1923. Great base (25mins drive) to the Forever resort where you start the superb walking trails overlooking the gorge and the three rondevels. Added unexpected bonus was the tour of the Echo Caves - the guide Ivans (sp?) was excellent and the caves impressive.

The sign as you turn onto the dusty/sand road says Echo caves but nothing about accomodation it's should say and accomodation.As I was thinking it was to a site not knowing it's the same place I was staying at.

Very central if you wanting to explore the eastern Transvaal sites. Anika was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the roads and area

had a couple of trouble making africaans for a day but soon quitened them down, the only food in the cafe was burgers so had 3 days of burgers once my chicken was finished

it was a very interesting place, located down a rough track into the bowls of the earth by the look of it. Room was good, could of done with more of a kitchen area and tables. The shower was very basic. The vervet monkeys where a delight getting to feed the cheeky chaps a few times a day. The owner was good, bringing fruit and biccies a few times.

the hostess was very kind and helpful! the setting in the middle of nature is awesome : only sounds of birds surrounded us. convenient that in times of loadshedding there is a generator.

The shower in the main bedroom was tricky to use. The stream of water was not strong also.

We received a warm welcome and it is a beautiful place, nice gardens and quiet environment. Ideal for a weekend breakaway when you want peace and quiet. Rooms were serviced and everything was clean.

The network signal is very poor

The house keeping service was very poor, we have to ask them to come clean our rooms and it was cleaned after 4pm since morning.

The location was excellent and we really like it. It was in a quite area and the environment was nice for a quite holiday

We booked a family room. We tought we had one room with five beds but had a whole Appartment with two rooms, kitchen, a small living room and a bath. The room really spacious. It was very clean and lovingly designed.

Only negative for me was that there was no fridge, as indicated in the facility description. Apparently not all rooms have been equipped yet. As we were the only guests, one could have been moved to our room. With the restaurant not open during those times, a fridge and even just a microwave would be very handy.

Amazing surroundings and view! Very friendly and helpful staff. We had light hail and good rain just after arrival, leaving nature fresh and clean for a walk.
