Amazing place. The lodge is beautiful, with a lot of animals coming to the pond in front of the property. All the staff were great, and we enjoyed very much our game drives with Thomas. We saw 4 out of the big 5 in just one game drive! We also loved our luxury tents facing the pond.

Everything was great as expected

We had a wonderful stay. We were in the tent cabin overlooking the watering hole and were fascinated watching all varieties of animals coming all day long. The staff was fantastic and the guides for the trail drives were knowledgeable and we saw so many animals. Highlights were seeing lion cubs and the parents right on the road ahead of our vehicle.

The location was excellent with a lot of visitors at the Waterhole and surrounding area. The tents were on a platform looking over the reserve. The staff were very accommodating and always happy. The accommodation was very comfortable with an excellent shower.

Many thanks to the staff’s hospitality. Food was prepared on time and with care. Thanks to Thomas for the excellent game drives! The property overlooks a watering hole and you can spot the occasional giraffe or elephant :)

If you're seeking an unforgettable escape into the heart of the wild, look no further than Milima. The accommodation itself is a harmonious blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. We were lucky enough to see all the animals during our game drives. Our guide Thomas and Sean were so knowledgeable and always patient. I would highly recommend this lodge to anyone looking to experience the Big Five! Special mention to Kathlyn who was always available and made sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable during our stay. The owners Jørgen and Lisbeth have done a fabulous job to allow us to experience this moment in the wild.

Nothing to don’t like, just some ideas which might improve the overall experience: A few outdoor games for the guests in between game drives like boule, chess or Viking chess (just to name a few) would be a great addition for some outdoor entertainment. The avoidance of single use plastic would be highly appreciated by all guests. The ponchos during rain, the spoons for the coffee breaks or the small toiletries could be exchanged with some more environmental friendlier options, which would suit the lodge much better.

EVERYTHING. We stayed in the tents which were beautifully decorated and had all the necessities. The Staff was incredible, even before we arrived already. Very helpful and making your experience truly unforgettable. The game drives were the best we have ever done, thanks to the amazing guides with incredible knowledge and skills and their good vehicles.

There was a little issue with the air conditioner in our room which was not really cooling the room much, but on the other hand, it was 38C heat so it is understandable that the machine would struggle.

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Milima Big 5 Safari Lodge in the Greater Kruger area in South Africa, and it was, without a doubt, one of the most remarkable experiences of our lives. Lovely reserve with acces to a lot of elephants and the rest of the big 5. Great guides and all the staff is very friendly, they go the extra mile for you. Food is great combined with good wines. Cosy and very luxury tent rooms with great view at the pool.

Highly recommended. You park at the entrance on arrival and they come to take you to the camp. Just before arriving to the camp, we crossed and follow a large family of elephants, that we also observed from our private terrace at the front of the tent later. There were two young elephants fighting. The afternoon and early morning safaris where astonishing. Thomas, the guide, succeeded in following and spotting the lions. We spot and follow for 10/15 minutes three lionesses in the afternoon, that we saw again later while they were walking close to the camp at the night, and a young lion in the morning. We were following him for another 10/15 minutes. We also spot from very close a black-backed jackal, a large family of buffaloes, many impalas, a wildebeest and more elephants. Thanks Thomas for such a gorgeous experience!!!

There could be more flexibility to arrange alternative activities than games.

Milima lodge was an excellent choice. I will never forget the staff, specially our guide and the restaurant staff, for its great passion and constant capacity of making you feel special. The location also has to be mentioned. I remember sitting outside our tent in my pijama and just seeing passing almost all big 5. The food and every meal experience were just AMAZING!!
