How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Had to change rooms, save was not operstional, tv channels were not operational. In 2nd room we did nit have pillows to sleep on but housekeeping brought pillows.
Friendly staff, clean and plenty to do.

The headboard needs upgrading as it's old and tattered
It was well kept and lovely, the headboard was old and the sponge was visible for a 4 star hotel these are upgrades they should be paying attention to. Otherwise enjoyed the breakfast and the atmosphere was beautiful! I enjoyed the game drive that was a bonus as we didn't have any planned activites!

The chalet was far from reception area.
The place looked very clean and cozy. However we got one of the rooms that are not renovated yet. So Id recommend you ask for the renovated rooms when booking, that's if you like modern finishes.

Since some of the chalets have been renovated it's a good thing but the smell of the paint it's still there. Residence visitors use to get free pass in the resort entertainment (aqudome and animal park) now they have to pay half price for that it would be nice to be told prior or include it on the booking fee.

This is one of my favorite places to escape. I found in my last two visits, the place to be more crowded than normal when fully booked. Was further disappointing that loud noise levels at all hours of the night is permitted. This is somewhat robbing of the tranquility in the night.
I found my favourite cocktail..Hurricane No.2..

Swimming area entry payment, why? I mean we booked to stay there .it became a bit steep for us since we were the family of 5 . It also doesn't make sense to pay when you are only there to watch the kids swim.
The cabins were sufficient for the whole family especially the kids , Beds were comfortable and the place was clean evrytime we came back for day activities.

The Hotel rooms could do with an inspection. Somebody had thrown bread, a beer bottle and a can out the window onto the roof, not pleasant. We have stayed on a few occasions, rooms always need a little TLC, the breakfast was a little disappointing this time.
The entertainment and Family activities are value for money and most enjoyable. Just a suggestion perhaps when it rains the drop off to the entertainment centre could have a dry area to walk under, we got soaked, it was cold and not pleasant being wet.

Tv and wifi didnt work even after calling staff to assist they could not get it to work. We had to be relocated to another unit after requesting it.
Welcoming, friendly staff from reception to housekeeping to shop staff. Checkin was smooth and quick Room was lovely and we enjoyed comfort of the bed Loved seeing animals roam around unit Seems there has been an upgrade /renovations done at resort since our stay a year ago, its good to see improvements

The room had a smell, almost like someone was smoking inside the room.
The ambience was amazing.. Professional and friendly staff. The Aquadome is awesome. We enjoyed it regardless of the weather outside.

The bathtub in the second bedroom the prop wasn't working so the water was draining out after filling the tub. Housekeeping needs to clean better, the was a lot of dust under the beds, My son dropped his ball and when we pushed the bed it was so dirty underneath. Also there's a lot of monkeys at the property that made it difficult to enjoy breakfast if you were sitting on the outside tables.
We loved spending the time at the water park. Kids absolutely loved it!

When we arrived we were given Unit 73 and it was awful with the bathroom and toilet filthy and the couch torn and the unit overall just terrible. Thankfully they changed our unit after we complained and paid more for it. This we found was not fair at all but the fee was not too bad at R200.00 more but really don't advertise the unit incorrectly on the website and then expect us to stay in there and then give us the same sized unit (call it a deluxe unit) because its in decent condition and then charge us extra. We were also double charged for asking for space for a kid to sleep eventhough i included this on my booking. They need to work on their customer care skills. Other people would have been livid but we didnt want to ruin our trip by fighting with anyone.
