How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

We couldn't really use the swimming pool as it was flooded with kids the whole weekend of our stay.
The property exceeded our wildest expectations. What is seen on the pictures is exactly what we experienced. The apartment was clean and very stylish and modern. The host Sisi Thembi was a great help and a phone call away. We would definitely visit again.

I love the security, the ambiance is just amazing. The place feels like far away from the city yet very near. I loved the tranquility and peaceful space. It really made me feel like home. I wouldn't mind going back there again. Thembi really knows how to take care of her guests, and she responds quickly to messages, she is just one of a kind ❤️

I loved everything about the apartment. The place was exactly as shown in the pictures. The bed was comfortable. We did not struggle with anything. I liked everything about the place, it felt like home.
Everything was perfect. The place is clean, quiet and beautiful. Nice large bedrooms. Kitchen has everything a woman can ask for... The crockery, microwave very clean, the stove was also working perfectly. Good location as well.

Nice place good value for money, very clean, all required items for a great stay provided, I love the welcome message on the kitchen table and the lovely patio overseeing the garden and the pool. Lovely place to stay.

They should give clear instructions on where to get the key cause we struggled luckily Thembi was a call away to assist. On the check out day there was a women who kept on saying "yoh" wherever she passes our door, we were not sure if she wanted to clean or what, right after locking she couldn't even wait for us to get in the car she opened all doors and stood on the balcony, it was very rude of her. Other than that I can recommend it to anyone anytime 😊

The Directions. It wasn't easy finding the place and ended getting tired of looking around for it. We got lost over and over trying to find it. But Thembeka was so nice that helped us finding the apartment. And finally we were settled.
I love everything about the apartment, its so nice and cozy.. Clean and relaxing.

To have at least one light on during loadshedding.
It was a bid of a struggle to get a key from safe box, but the Thembi was available for a video call to guide me how to get the key. The area is very safe and beautiful. It was home away from home. Thank you so much Thembi.

The approach to the apartment building has no lighting, so you'll need a flashlight to find and stay on the path. The entry way is also dimly lit making entering the code to retrieve the keys difficult. The entire estate is controlled by guards who search your car (including the boot) going into and out of the property, and the host provides access codes allowing exactly ONE exit/entry per day which is extremely inconvenient. When the codes for the day were used up, host called me a liar when I found myself stranded outside the estate.

The toilet seat was loose and we had to fix it on arrival... The bath leaks when draining. The description made it seem like the entire unit was on Inverter power, however it is only the WiFi and TV. Bathroom door doesn't close unless you lock it with the key. It would also have been nice to have some washing powder available in the room for guests to use.
Good location and pretty surroundings. Nice large bedroom. Good Lounge area. Excellent communication from Thembi.

I couldn’t get into the apartment because the lady wasn’t answering her phone when we got to the gate and we also struggled leaving the complex because the codes didn’t work

We couldn't locate our apartment through goggle map nor bolt,we had to walk around to locate it or look around to find bolt transport (no signs) .
It is a chilled place for mind relaxation.
