The bed and bedding in our room was surprisingly very comfortable! Everyone we met was very friendly and gave us great advice on things to do during our stay and beyond. Walking distance to the Half King Fisher Trail.

Hot water in the private bathroom gave issues (one of the main reasons we moved rooms was for a private shower so that was disappointing). Bumpy road to get to Wild Farm, you just gotta take is slow and steady.

We liked our stay so much we booked into a more private room. Private bathroom and little kitchenette with a few things like plates and cups, not really enough to cook a meal in there. Family rooms are lovely if you are looking for a bit of privacy. Breakfast included, coffee station where you make your own coffee. Beautiful views and great hiking trails. Pet friendly! Vlekkiw stayed with us for our entire stay and even joined us on hikes!

This relatively remote hostel (35min walk to Wilderness « city ») is very located very close to the river and to the half collared kingfisher trail. There’s a very good vibe and a mix of people, horizons, jobs and colors. Everyone’s very welcoming and make you feel at home

Maybe you could plant some lemongrass here and there to keep the mosquitos off. I saw that in another hostel and it worked out very well.

Very nice outside bar with live music. Staff was always helpful. lovely outdoor space! Comunal kitchen was clean. Plenty of couches to chill in. Lovely breakfast.

Every year I drive down from Cape Town to PE for Christmas and stay over in Wilderness. I've stayed over at Fairy Knowe a few times already and love that it is dog friendly. I also love that there's walking/ hiking routes on its doorstep.

The location is beautiful, the atmosphere is relaxing and free. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I had a wonderful adventure, thanks to the great vibe, authentic people and great music!

Lovely place to be in. I enjoyed my stay, even wished to extend my days. Unfortunately it was fully booked. I will certainly come back again.

We came in off season so it wasn’t a major problem but I imagine the few shower facilities in relation to the available beds will pose a challenge.

The hostel has a great community vibe with comfy rooms and great community spaces. Many residents are there for long-term. Loads of green and easy walking trails nearby. The hostel hosted a farmers market on Sunday.

the internet did not work all the rooms, especially those farthest from the main building. since I was traveling without a car it was difficult to get there when I arrived in town by bus

The setting made me feel as if I was in a tropical forest.Great spot to get your mind from the working world ,that is for sure.

we wanted to make use of the kitchen facilities however both refrigerators held rotting food which was never emptied. the freezer in the corner was totally blocked with ice. I had to throw out rotting hot dogs and mouldy pizza etc. a total turn off. Also there was no coffee or tea in the kitchen so we had to wait until the staff came in.

The room had no air condition or ventilator, so it was quite humid. The double bed was very short that my boyfriend (1,78m) and I touched the end of it with our feet. Outside is a very cool, chill area but some of the neighbours came to drink / party there at night as well and I didn't really like the vibe and felt a bit uncomfortable as they were quite loud, drunk or intoxicated.

The location directly next to the nature reserve and the outside area with a nice bar and a beautiful garden. Great place to get together and have a chat or party with others.
