The gate. Too much struggle to open it. The doors, having to lock via pad locks is tedious. There was no shower gel so we had to go to the nearest shop to purchase. The toilet got blocked. The writing on the walls is also a bit off. The place could do with a TV and Wi-Fi

The place is clean and bed are comfortable. If you intend to cater for yourself then great because there’s a lot of kitchen utensils.

Needs general maintenance (some taps not working, gate doesn't lock, door difficult to close) Cramped for 4 adults Advertised as a whole house, but it's just a room with a double bed and 2 single beds squeezed in, added bathroom and kitchen within the room space (would have booked elsewhere if this was known prior)

There is a guy living on the property we where not told this and he can be a pest at times, we where having a braai and he would come univited.

Good value for money, the main house is spacious the furniture is old but its comfortable. Love that I was able 2 bring my dog. Walled in garden.

Only 1 towel for 2 or nominally 4 people (luckily we did bring our own). VERY limited options for preparing food (microwave, kettle, fridge, braai and airfryer - no pot or pans nor microwaveable containers nor serving utensils). It would have been nice to have a small table in the kitchen area on which to work as it was winter and not pleasant or convenient to work on the outside table after sunset. Please be aware that the place is not clearly signposted in Coffee Bay and the access roads to the gate are both abominable. High clearance vehicle preferred!

The view from the property is AWESOME! All amenities close by. One double and two twin beds very comfortable. Sethambile the security guard was on duty at night and parking was inside a locked gate which helped to make us feel more at home. The toilet and shower (private) were clean and worked very well as the property has made emergency plans to provide water. But do bring your own drinking water! David the caretaker helped us enormously to make the most of our time there.

House is run-down, and cluttered. Main bedroom toilet leaked water, issue with the shower-head in the bathroom for the other 2 bedrooms had issues we had to fix, dishwasher and washing machine wasn't working. There is only a very small view of the ocean from the main house, and only if standing next to the BBQ. We prefer self-catering, and especially during the pandemic, to be without services or other people around ... a cleaning lady came every day, and there was a guy attending to security, and other guests in the 2 apartments. Bin in one of the bedrooms were not emptied before we arrived - it was personal items left so really not nice for my son to discover this in his room.

Note: we stayed in the main house (there are also 2 separate apartments on the property next to the main house). Like the space of the house - three bedrooms, large dining table and a round kitchen table

An old house (I guess 40-50 years old) which hasn't been well maintained. I don't think it's been painted inside for 15-20 years. A lot of cracked windows and old furniture. A lot of exposed electrical cables, evidence of more recent activity. Overall I'd call it rustic at best. The laundry for the unit and the two other smaller units is located in the unit and one has to walk through it to access the second bathroom. The laundry staff are there basically all day so not much privacy.

Very good position on a hill overlooking the main beach and part of the town. Could also see the sunrise when it wasn't cloudy. Walking distance to most places. But also on a corner with quite a lot of people walking to and from their houses further on the hill, so a fair amount of noise late at night and also in the morning. Plenty of furniture in the house, including two dining tables and several couches. Helpful manager who was there to welcome us and able to handle our queries effeciently.

Bed was terrible, no cooking facilities apart from the braai and an air fryer - odd but nice I guess (wouldn't exactly call it self catering). Don't recommend it for a long-term stay. Shower temperatures are erratic and the shower head has very little pressure. Curtains falling off the rails. It's not a one bedroom house either - it's a bachelor flat. A few small changes would go a long way to take it from good to great.

Location is quite nice, awesome view, but you preferably need a 4x4 to get there. Very clean and décor is nice. Simthembile (grounds keeper) is such a lekker guy.

The accomadation was meant for one night. Its a butchelor flat. The kitchen is very small and only have cutlery to eat with. Its not equipt to prepare a meal. Place was durty. Roof leaked. Coffee bay was beautiful. This accomadation needs an upgrade . tlery

On arrival we were met by the maintenance man who told us that there had been some recent security issues, this raised our concern. The main gate didn't lock suitably and was a security concern. (Gate was to small for its opening and could easily be opened by criminals) Grass was long and garden looked unkept. Main bathroom drain was overflowing into the front entrance section of the property. Braai & braai grid were dirty. Sliding doors were not sliding properly and I had to put them back on their rails. Entry & exit process was not good, we had to exit through a side door as you couldnt lock the front door from the outside. General security was a concern. Main exit sliding door latch was loose and could easily be accessed by criminals. Back door security was a concern, especially the fact that the lady who works at the house wanted to take the keys to the house overnight without leaving a key for us to lock the house. Several plastic window latched were broken. Television had been stolen. There was no way to light the gas stove, we unfortunately didn't have any matches. The second bathroom shower door was broken off and the pipe from the shower arm sprayed across the bathroom, wetting the whole bathroom. The toilet seat lid on the second bathroom was off and broken and the seat was held on by a piece of wire. The kitchen sink had no waste pipe so was not working, all dishes had to be washed in a small prep bowl with only cold water. The furniture is generally very dirty and tired looking, bar stools seats are torn and dirty. A sharp, dangerous piece of wood that the dining room light was placed on is an extreme safety hazard positioned at head height. Only one bath towel was left in the main bedroom and our adult children all only got hand towels as bath towels. The pillows in the second & third bedrooms had mould on them. Main bathroom shower floor was very dirty. Neither of the safes were lockable.

The security guard was friendly and helpful. Bedding was well branded and clean. Good ocean view from patio braai area. Wifi was good. Main bathroom water pressure was good.

No proper signage directing to property on the Main Road. Security front door did not lock when going out this posed a security risk. Shower leaked water and it flowed into the rest of the bathroom. The telephone shower in the bath was faulty. The water did not drain from the bath. Some light fittings not working. .The fridge leaked onto the dining room floor causing the floor to be wet. Main bedroom shower faulty. The outside gates do not align with each other and are therefore difficult to lock.. This property is not one which I would recommend to anyone
