How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The only problem was that the toilet kept running, but I am sure it's nothing a Plumber can't fix in a jiff.
We booked for the weekend as we were attending a wedding in Clarens. My husband, myself and our two grown children booked the family room. It was more than roomy enough and comfortable. My in-laws booked a room for two which was lovely. everything was perfect. We had a walk in closet, a bathroom with a shower and toilet, and next to that a separate toilet. The hosts were super friendly, as were the staff from the lady who helped us in the bar to our very attentive waiter at breakfast. I highly recommend this place if you want to explore Clarens and Fouriesburg.

The room we stayed at only had a bath shower which you can't stand up and use without messing water all over the floor

The rooms are beautiful but cleaning is not done properly. One can see that much effort is not applied but is done on the surface. Though the linen and towels were clean, during the ,stay not much attention was given to change them and proper cleaning was not done and provide the clean linen. When done, one could see that it was not done proper. Cleaning need Supervision period.

My room was quite small and i dint have a table to work on - but i will request this during my next stay and i will be going back for sure!
The Hotel honestly is a breath of fresh air. The restaurant is amazing - and the staff super friendly - really enjoyed my stay.

We enjoyed everything about our stay. From the reception, servers at the bar and restaurant, Maintenance crew and housekeeping staff were all amazing.
Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The food was great. We enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Inn both days. All the servers were excellent.

The electric blanket was not working but it was sorted once we reported it. We had dinner at the restaurant but was disappointed with the food.

Not great for long term as the rooms are on the small side. On the first night we stayed in a room that you enter from the street. Was a bit weird, no shower only bathtub. 2nd night we were moved to a room that had a shower and was better located on the property.
Conveniently situated close to Caledon border post to Lesotho. Inn has all the necessary amenities for an overnight stay.

The electric blanket not working on the one side. Room size abit too small but served the purpose for the 2 nights stay.

Our room was near the restaurant area so a bit noisy from people enjoying their excellent food. The noise was only until about half 10/11 at night so not a long time.
Beautiful place with very large rooms. Excellent to have a place to eat with wonderful food right on your door step too. Bed was large and comfortable and the facilities were very good (tea/coffee.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The area is quiet and safe. The ladies bar area acommodated our group of 19 easily and was cosy and relaxing. Food great and all thumbs up for the kitchen and staff

Entrance to the room 6 not to my liking, it's like you are being sent through a back door into a dark alley and then having to find the light switch somewhere on the wall to see where you are..... I don't know if this is what you get by booking through Booking.com on the special rate, or whether it is hotel preference of how bookings are made😒
Location on route to Lesotho very central. Staff very helpful and friendly. Dinner and breakfast most enjoyable. Adequate secure parking.

There is nothing that we did not like.
The location is perfect.! the stay was comfortable. The restaurant on site has good options for breakfast and dinner (We did not try lunch). The whole sorrounding is peaceful making the stay great.! Overall very nice experience.!
