To leave so soon...wish I could stay another day

The Hostess made Us feel so at Home. Home away from home.. Breathtaking .Warm and very accommodating...I Really enjoyed the warmth of the Cottage.

A kitchen dustbin would be a very good idea. We didn't feel good leaving the garbage on the counter. We arrived at night and found it difficult to see house numbers and driveway access.

Really loved the location. It's a bit of town but right on the edge of the natural forest with a glorious sea view. A car is necessary. It's very private and has everything necessary for a comfortable stay. the host had made the effort to put in an extra bed as it is advertised as having a sleeper couch on booking.com. We were very grateful for that. The host has all the basics there- tea/coffee/ milk/salt/pepper etc. It really helps! Loved having the cat move in with us and the occasional visit from the dog.

Beautiful garden location with amazing sea view. Great accommodation with everything you need including the occasional visit of the very friendly cat and dog! Gareth and Jean are lovely hosts with lots of local information of places to visit.

We loved EVERYTHING about our stay at Froggy Farm Self Catering. The reviews were good, so our expectations were high, but Gareth’s amazing hospitality, and this beautiful, peaceful, well appointed cottage still blew us away. We felt welcomed and well cared for from the moment we arrived, the space was sparkling clean and is stylishly decorated. The kitchen is basic but has all the essentials to enjoy a morning coffee on site or whip up a quick brekkie if you stop for groceries. Ima, the resident kitty kept us company as we sat on the lovely ocean view deck enjoying a glass of wine at the end of our days of adventuring. Gareth gave us great tips on where to eat and what to check out in the area. If you’re staying in Simon’s Town, there’s no better spot!

Froggy Farm is in a lovely spot a short drive from Simonstown. We were in the area unexpectedly so didn't really have chance to use the facilities here, but the room was perfect - clean/comfortable and well equipped.

The location was great exactly where we wanted to be with the added bonus being the property backed onto a large field/forest a really gorgeous and peaceful environment enabling easy walking access to the main road. The host Gareth - was always ready to assist going above and beyond any expectations. The hosts have a lovely woman working for them, Sookie (sp) who was also always willing to assist and provide advice if required. They have a very friendly cat, Ima, who would visit us for long periods of time she was very sociable and welcome. We managed to see 2 adult porcupines one evening in the garden, although the sighting was fleeting it was incredible as both my husband and I had not seen one before - they are really pretty large. A real bonus was the availability of wifi during the current SA crisis of Loadshedding - it really made those times less bleak and we were able to use the time more constructively. All in all we loved our stay and we look forward to one day re-visiting the property for another.

Super helpful and kind owner. He allowed us to stay later than the normal checkout time, provided a cot for our baby and provided lots of helpful suggestions. The internet also worked in load shedding.

The owner Gareth was very friendly, met us on arrival, gave us good advice about a good local beach and restaurants. The room was very nice and clean with all mod cons and comfortable bed. We were lucky enough to see a troop of baboons in the garden plus porcupine down the road when we got back after dinner!

Spacious, clean apartment that has everything you need. The garden is beautiful and offers great ocean views. Lots of wildlife around and nice outdoor seating areas. Wifi is good, and continues to work well even during load shedding. Location is excellent, in a quiet and safe neighbourhood but with the center of Simons Town and the penguin beach just a few minutes away by car. A short walk brings you to top notch snorkeling at Windmill Beach, and Cape point national park is only a 15 min drive away. Gareth is a great host, super friendly, accessible and happy to share local knowledge.

I liked the peace and beautiful views...was a magnificent place pet friendly and child friendly the owner was very helpful and nice... Perfect place to relax and enjoy the near by beaches and have a peaceful rest at froggy farms just lovely.
