We loved the facilities, food and the service from the kitchen staff. The game drive with Ike from the lodge, was the highlight of our stay. He is very educated and informed us about all the plants and game on the farm. The chef was very capable and treated us with a proudly South African Cuisine

We loved everthing. The place, the service , the staff, the food yoh....... and mostly the vibe. It was amazing. The Manager Daniel is really an excellent host, very friendly and catered to all our needs. Just the only thing to bear in mind is that its strictly not self-catering but id recomend thr food. Its amazing

I do not think the price of food and drink justifies what you pay for. I cannot pay R225 for a breakfast that is essentially yogurt with muesli and bacon with two eggs. The same with the price of dinner and drinks. Let me be clear, dinner was tasty but the money paid does not justify what you receive.

The staff were amazing. The setting is great with a warm atmosphere around the lodge.

I found the bathroom a bit narrow and restrictive, especially when exiting the shower. The gravel road whilst it is graded periodically I can imagine that overtime depending on how often it is scrapped it could get a bit brutal especially on smaller sedan type vehicles.

I thoroughly enjoyed the remote location, yet was within easy reach of places I had to be for meetings. There are several types of accommodation ranging in price from rondavels to family units . The room I stayed in was spacious, clean, nicely furnished, warm, cosy, the bed was firm yet extremely comfortable as were the pillows. The linen, towels were crisp and fresh and the duvet light yet warm. The bathroom had piping hot water and the shower cubicle was a generous size. The meals of which I only had breakfast and dinner changed daily were 3 course delicious and plentiful.

There are no toiletries such as shower gel which I think should be provided as many of us want to travel a bit light and not lug around huge bottles of shower gel etc. Also it will be great if they have some snacks in the dining area so that we can relax, snack a bit and enjoy the scenery.

Our time at the magnificent Gamagara African Game Farm was simply delightful! The rooms provided us with utmost comfort and were flawlessly clean. I'd like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the incredible Sue-Marie and Daniel, who went above and beyond to make our stay an absolute joy. Sue-Marie's captivating knowledge of the wildlife and flora enhanced our two mesmerizing game drives, while Daniel's impeccable hosting skills ensured that our every need was met. The entire staff were truly brilliant, and a special mention goes to the chef whose Rooibok potjie was nothing short of phenomenal. Rest assured, we will certainly return to this haven, and if you find yourself in the area or visiting Klein JAN, I wholeheartedly recommend making it your home away from home.

All of the staff were so friendly from the moment we arrived. The amount of trouble they went through to make our weekend unforgettable is deeply appreciated. I would recommend the place to anyone looking for a weekend with amazing food, amazing wine and also high quality accommodation. My compliments to the chef for making some of the best food I have eaten on a weekend away. Could not have asked for a better place to get engaged.
