The game reserve is amazing and growing with more land and animals! We had two game rides that are unforgettable! The hosts and the staff are simply incredible people. They make you feel at home and are always so caring and helpful. The bedroom was amazing. Beautifully decorated, very comfortable bed and amazing view. The breakfast was delicious and the dinner always fresh and with the offer of local food. I hope to go back soon.

This was by far the most wonderful experience we had in our three weeks in South Africa. Stephan and Unelle are totally lovely people with an amazing vision for their reserve. What they are building here is very special. We felt privileged to be a part of it for a short time. Stephan is incredibly knowledgeable about the ecology, flora and fauna and is a brilliant guide. The breakfasts were beautiful - all freshly baked and cooked, and great coffee!

We had the best best best time at the Garden Route Safari Camp. The game drive experience we had was outstanding - thank you so much Jared for sharing your knowledge about the nature and animals!! Joining you for coffee and gin&tonics while watching lions and all the other animals was just so amazing!! Also again thanks for the recommendations for our further trip - really appreciated! The food, drinks and service were also really special, thanks so much to the whole team! Unelles wine recommendation totally hit the spot and we are still dreaming about the delicious drinks we had while we were watching "TV" and looking at Mr. Eland and the Ostriches :) Special thanks to Unelle and Stephan for the warm welcome and making us feel so VIP during our stay (and thanks Unelle for all the almond milk and being SO thoughtful :) ). There simply is nothing else that we could have wished for. We just met the most warm hearted and kind people. The only mistake we made was booking for only one night... beautiful lodge, beautiful room with lovely details and absolutely amazing stuff. they’re so warm hearted and lovely. this place is just magic. you feel how they’re connected to the nature. especially Stephan and his wife (but also his parents :) ) are absolutely amazing. Stephan is the best Tourguide in this world. we’ve learned so much about the animals and the nature. He made our stay magical. His wife Unelle is so in love with detail and cares a lot. highly recommended- everyone has to go there!

Stunning location. Service and personal touches were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in the mountain view loft and it was stunning. Food was delicious. Great value for money. Excellent experiance for our family, we stayed at the Safary camp 2 amazing nights, took 2 game drives, one at the afternoon & one at the early morning. each one with different experiance. The lodge is beautiful & comfortable. Unelle & Stefan are great hosts that give you personal attention throughout your all visit. Highly recommended

small boutique safari camp resort with brilliant facilities, great service and amazing staff. private game rides and morning safari run with engaged and highly knowledgeable guides. Good food.

There is nothing to improve! I mean it!

One of the best places around the world you can stay if you love nature, high quality service, delicious food and comfort. We were treated like the kings. Everybody including the owners, Jared - our safari guide, chef, and all staff is extremely friendly, customer oriented, knowledgeable, and does the best to provide you the first class experience no matter what. We were amazed by our luxury tent, design of main lobby, friendliness, attention to every detail, individual approach, healthy animals, and the quality of service.

Cant think of anything. we got what we expected

The isolation and been away from the busy life of the city. The fact that there is no TV or Internet in the bungalows is amazing. if you want to get away from city life this is the way. Staff are super nice, helpful and just go above and beyond to make you stay that much more special. I loved the outdoor shower and the sound of the lions roaring through the night was great. Not loud enough to keep you awake. Even though it was hot having the pool and the ceiling fans to keep you cool was more then enough. Its a very special place for us now and we cant wait to go back again.

It’s difficult to write a succinct review about how wonderful this Lodge is. So I’ll just say that my wife and I have been travelling for eight months and this is probably the best couple of days we’ve had in one place. The people are incredibly friendly and helpful, the rooms are beautiful and well-appointed, the food is sumptuous and the game drives are breathtaking. Thank you Stephan, Unelle, Jared et al. Abraham & Nannette were wonderful! Their personal touches such as the welcoming and snacks with notes made our stay even better than already guaranteed by the beautiful wildlife and facilities. Exceptional experience at Garden Route Safari Camp. It is a slice of heaven on earth. Peaceful and relaxing and the accommodation was stunning and comfortable. Loved our game drives and guided walk. My son and I were so pleased with our choice and the family and staff at the Camp were amazing.

We loved everything, from the unmatched hospitality of owners and staff, to game drives, food , accommodation, early morning walks the quietness and darkness at night, the roar of the lions , sitting round the fire and the wealth of knowledge, experience and information that the staff shared with us.
