The fact that there`s no staff or operational reception area. It was difficult to gain access to the premises and also to checkout since no one is stationed at a specific point to assist.

I didn't like the fact that the place has no backup generator when loadshedding hits. We had to stay with no electricity

Very steep terrain, not accessible for older people or those with disabilities. Didn't get the unit we booked although they compensated for it with spa treatments and some money back. However getting the place we booked would have been worth more.

The zero refund policy should be reconsidered, i checked out 2days earlier to go check in at a chain Hotel in Nelspruit, i just couldn't stay there anymore, i left without refund.

Location: drive way to their parking extremely steep, my JEEP struggled.

No ordering in,No TV, Their packing is a no no. They should update their facilities on their website because some are no longer available. No activities around.

The place is peaceful and it has a very nice view. Chalets are clean.

Absolutely LOVED my stay. The owners and staff were so accommodating and helpful. Loved the private entrance to come and go as I needed. Great VALUE for money. I will definitely be back. Thanks Geo Trail Lodge and Spa.

The owner is super rude, we booked with the price that we saw on Bookings, instead of them acknowledging and taking a full responsibility on their mistake they blamed us as if we are the ones who are doing their pricing here on Bookings. When they call the raise their voice, speaking to us as if we are small kids, they did not want to listen but to talk over us while we keep on saying even if it's not our problem we are willing to pay the amount they are changing to. Yhooo the owner yerrr very rude. I wouldn't advise people to go there she, I got disappointed period and ended up booking somewhere else after paying for what I saw on Booking.com.

The proper is actually outdated they use very old pictures to advertise the place is not serviced too many of the facility services do not function anymore, the pool is FILTHY they have their dogs roaming around you can't even chill outside and enjoy a snack because they are always everywhere sniffing around, the owners sent one of their workers to come tell us that we were breaking their chair when there was two of us sitting on it yet they didn't do that when this other white couple who sat next to us did the same mind you that couple are a lot bigger than us in body size...overall I would not recommend the place it's on a hill making it child unfriendly...The owners stay in the lodge you're restricted you can't walk around the yard coz you are invading "their space"👎🏾

Nothing to not like, not 5 star but offers extremely good value for money, amazing setting, fair accomodation, great pool area and great spa facilities. Budget prices but great value, our new hide away.

We arrive from Gauteng stressed and needed a break. When we arrive at our unit it was like a weight off our shoulders. Great deck and view from unit two. We had a good night's rest after a braai at our unit then rested in a quality bed with high quality comfortable bedding. Saturday we enjoyed spa treatments, professional staff and relaxing facilities. just what we needed to take the edge off. We booked the romantic couples get away and that is was indeed! We spent quality time as husband and wife while enjoying the beauty of Barberton and the uniqueness of Geo Trail Lodge and Spa. Our next trip is already booked !
