The property is well maintained and there is ample space for a family to go through and enjoy what Marloth Park has to offer. Has all amenities one requires (oven, fridge, fully equipped kitchen, in and outdoor seating, towels, swimming pool).

A fan or some mist spray would help with cooling down underneath the Lapa.

Very Clean and everything you need is available, swimming pool was very clean, we only stayed over for 1 day but will recommend it to anyone, easily sleep 6.

Roy, the owner is super easy to communicate with. Anton, the housekeeper is very friendly and helpful, you don’t need to worry about anything during your stay. The pool is divine. We loved this little hidden gem as our base to explore Kruger

The mattresses

The floor on the terrace was very slippery when wet. And there was no good drainage so it was almost permanently wet from rain or from the swimming pool

This is not a criticism but just be mindful of South Africa’s energy companies load shedding policies. It’s where the electricity is off at certain times of day and night. This wasn’t a problem for us as we knew about this as it’s our third visit to the country. But don’t let this put you off staying at Giraffe Plains. You will not be disappointed.

The location is fantastic. Waking up in the morning and seeing the wildlife roaming around the house is amazing (no dangerous ones I add) Anton the chap who looks after the house and the guests is lovely. We were so sad to leave. We could have stayed for weeks

The property was lovely! Had everything we needed and more! The house keeper Antwon was there for everything we needed! Waking up to the animals every morning was such a lovely experience! Would 100% recommend this property to anyone looking to get away and become one with nature!!! Definitely coming back

Location in Marloth Park was excellent and easy to find. Anton was fantastic and helpful. We saw plenty of zebra, bush pig, impala, kudu and birds - children loved it! We certainly will be back very shortly with other family members. Thank you so much...

There are only showers and these are gas heated, one shower is only lukewarm and the other is either death by fire or ice (I am yet to see a good working gas water heater.... ). Also the stove is only electric, so when there is a power outage you cannot cook or boil the kettle - gas stoves are ideal here.

It is a spectacular place in the bush that is well positioned. Near enough to facilities for easy top ups, but very private that it feels like you are the only one in the bush. Also close to the viewing spots on the Crocodile River. A lot of wildlife also came to visit us at the house. The housekeeper makes the stay extra special.

One plate on stove not working - suggestion replace the electric hob with gas as it was a problem with load shedding. Gauze on kitchen security door scratches your arms and tears clothes. Needs to have sharp edges trimmed. Gauze on 2nd bedroom torn so mosquitos came in. Tap in 2nd bathroom by basin needs new washer. Not complaining just owner needs to know.
