We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

South AfricaFinding Goble Palms Guest Lodge & Urban Retreat was a spontaneous gifting on Booking.com. This Guest Lodge is a beautiful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city, and work. A beautiful peaceful escape. I had Room 2, which is actually a luxury apartment, with no detail spared, I travel a lot and i have never experienced a better fitted suite than what i experienced in Room 2! The landscaping feels like the compact Lodge setting is carved into a tropical forest, on a remote island. The pool area is social, well outfitted and relaxing with a very well stocked honesty bar to enjoy a sundowner treat to slide into a relaxing evening enjoying the beautiful summer evenings, alternating with a refreshing dip into the super clean pool. There are ample areas to either be alone, or in company from a formal lounge area, quite indoor reading area, outside chill lounge and isolated outdoor furnitute amongst the landscaping. Breafast on the patio or inside the dining area is a treat, staff are super friendly and attentive and sociaciable. As an added bonus for an early dinner, i found Delfi Greek Restaurant in walking distance from the Lodge. A deconstructed interior with the most incredible staff and the most gorgeous food (BUT be sure to book as Delfi's is super popular with locals). Goble Palms Guest Lodge & Urban Retreat is my go to place for any of busines trips to Durban.

CanadaThe bathroom definitelly needs a little renovation even though it was very clean. There are not many parking spots. I saw 5 in total, but there could be more hidden ones that I did not see. We were fine but if the hotel is fully booked, then that could be an issue.
Very friendly and exceptionally helpful staff. Beautiful building and good breakfast. We were allowed to park our car for the day after checking out. Our little private garden was super romantic. The area around the building is relatively (for Durban) safe. The staff made good recommendations regarding places to eat (Mali's indian restaurant) and to visit (Botanical Garden and Victoria market).

United KingdomThis is nothing to do with Goble Palms, but you're probably not going to want to wander around the local area at night. It's Ubers all the way, so just bear that in mind.
The place itself is really very nice. Lovely old property with a great pool, honesty bar/pub and plenty of nice spaces to spend your days/evenings. Staff and owners are very helpful and friendly too.
