Hosts Douglas and Anders were really friendly and welcoming. Throughout our stay they were very catering, they helped us with places to visit and see as it was our first time visiting Magoebaskloof. We had the privilege of having breakfast and dinner at their Pause restaurant, Anders had made us the most wonderful meals, which exceeded our expectations by miles. The views and the lookout point is spectacular, also the giraffes that come around in the mornings and evenings is something special. Graceland is definitely a must see. We cannot wait to go back again

Graceland Eco Retreat is an off the grid lodge with fully working amenities (hot water, electricity, gas stove, fridge). Information on the lodge is provided clearly in the room and you can enjoy a relaxed, peaceful visit there. The property has a family of giraffes that are delightful to see and you can take a hike or 4x4 drive on the premises. Pay attention to the route that you take to the lodge and choose wisely if you want to avoid going up mountainous paths (travelling from Tzaneen) and gravel or untarred sections which in rainy season may be unsuitable. That said, Douglas and Anders provided excellent travel assistance and keep you on the right path with well posted signs on route. Make sure you plan your meals and food well for self catering as you would not want to go grocery shopping while there.

Loved the place, the directions sent to us were clear and easy to follow. The place was clean and had everything we needed for a self catering stay. We were able to braai. Quiet space which allowed us to relax.

Our stay at Graceland Eco was exceptional and really good value for money. The rooms are very spacious and comfortably appointed. The property is easy to reach and the setting is superb. Our hosts were fantastic - accommodating and friendly. Lastly, we enjoyed a magnificent meal at the restaurant. I would highly recommend Graceland to anyone that travels to the Magoebaskloof area.

The views from the room where beautiful and the dinner we had was outstanding. The room was spacious, the kichenette equiped with everything we needed and we even had an outside shower. The hosts , Douglas and Anders were so friendly and helpful. We definitely will go back.

A wonderful oasis in the Magoebaskloof mountains. Perfect place to break the long drive from Kruger to Oliver Tambo airport and celebrate my husband’s birthday. Anders and Douglas were wonderful hosts (you need to hear the story about he python and the dog!). Dinner was sublime. We should have done 2 nights not one to truly bask in the piece and beauty of Graceland.

Everything was perfect - just wish we could have stayed longer, and that we had managed to catch a glimpse of the giraffe, but they were wandering around elsewhere, just like wild animals should:-)

Beautiful and practical unit, with the most magnificent views. Quiet and peaceful surroundings, and the hosts were considerate and friendly. Comfortable bed and a nice fireplace made for a cosy evening despite the cold weather. The lovely big walk-in shower was fabulous, and the fact that they are totally off the grid meant that Load shedding was not a factor at all. The bird life in the area is amazing. The dinner pre-booked at the restaurant on site was exceptional, and well worth the cost. We felt pampered and well cared for in every way.

Beautiful, well thought out accommodation. All your needs are met, the art and furnishings makes the whole place special. We had dinner at the Pause restaurant and it was absolutely amazing - do not skip this! Douglas and Anders are gracious hosts and made us feel comfortable and special from our first moments on the farm.

Our units were not equipped for the unfortunate rainy conditions, but our (empty) neighboring unit had roofing over the BBQ areas etc, so it might be worth checking with the owners to get a rain-proof unit if necessary.

We arrived in bad weather - it was raining non-stop, so we couldn't make use of the outside amenities, but I'd love to go back there when we could explore the area a bit. This place is awesome for a group/family gathering. Even though we couldn't spend any time outside, we had a great time in the apartment - we made a fire in the fireplace with the provided wood.

The gate opening and closing. I suggest the owner gets a remote to avoid us getting wet during the rain

The place is good for retreat. It connect u to real world as opposed to the busy life we are accustomed to.. No TV and network but wifi does come handy
