The room has 2 doors, and faces onto the main rd. The noise of local passersby yellingtill the early hours was a bit off- putting. We love music, but the gent who played the piano on the stoep (seemingly all day!) was about 10ft from outrdoor - so NO chance of an afternoon snooze! Once he'd left, music was piped from the house onto the stoep (presumable to attract attention) and this seemed to go on until way after midnight. I mentioned it the next morning and was met with confusion, but we didn't experience it on Sat night that heavens. There is ONLY a mirror in the bathroom. My personal bugbear. When doing my hair I want a mirror in front of me. There is plenty of space. No full length mirror either. The owner also sits on the patio and smokes, which wafted into our room, under the door. Not nice. We would stay there again, but in a different room - not facing the street, away from any noise.

This was purely accommodation, although there is a kettle/coffee plunger/milk pods etc. There was a hair dryer as well. We brought our bikes, and we had a safe courtyard to chain them up. There was also off-street parking, which is important in Greyton because of the petty theft. We were attending the Greyton Classics, and the Morovian Church which hosted concerts was about 50m away. Shower was lovely - hot and hard. No loadshedding. Towels are standard size, not bath sheet. Bed is big and comfy. We were able to leave our pre made food in the large fridge in the communal area which was handy - it was dinner for 8 at friends the next day. The room fridge is fine for wine/milk. Nice pool area/communal kitchen if you need it. So many lovely places to eat out though! We were in 'Portly Otter' room.

    Cricket infestation.

It was a good stay. The only problem was the cricket infestation which made the children uncomfortable. It was a town-wide issue not specific to Toad Hall.

Everything I needed was at my fingertips. The room was cute and served it's purpose well with the very comfortable bed, the salt water pool hit all the right spots on the hot days, and the Hostess, Lisa, was an absolute blast! I left there feeling like I made a new best friend who I can't wait to visit again soon!

The venue is an absolute gem!! More so with its hostess, Lisa!

Perhaps pool towels could be changed more frequently. The plastic wine glasses at the pool could be cleaned more frequently. Self catering rooms could have more items - big bowls, braai dish, etc.

The location was perfect and the garden area is really nice. The fact that there was no loadshedding is a bonus. The bed was comfy and met my expectations.

Everything was as good as I wanted it to be.

Toad Hall is in the centre of Greyton but my room was set back off the road, so it was nice, secluded and quiet. The room was nicely decorated and clean with a good bathroom. It had all the facilities that I needed and was a very pleasant place to stay. It was also a room that kept cool, despite the heat outdoors and without any need for air conditioning, so it was particularly comfortable.

Toad Hall has a fantastic location right off the main street in Greyton. Very sweet garden with chickens and a wood fired hot tub (did take a while to heat up though!).

    Can't complain about anything.

Loved everything...very comfortable clean rooms. Loved the garden, braai area and swimming pool. Child friendly. Very friendly welcome from the owner. Within walking distance of the restaurants and coffee shops. Can't wait to visit during the summer.
