Hospitality and helpfullness. Felt welcomed from the beginning. They assisted me with all our requests...even borrowed me a mouse when my Laptop's mouse decide to malfunction.

The setting is close to the Augrabies falls and other attractions. The host makes you feel very welcome. The braai area and other amenities were excellent. The kitchen is fully equipped....whatever you need is there. We also loved the fact that the property teamed up with other local businesses, and one could buy produce directly from inside the unit. Most importantly.....WORKING AIRCONS!

Great host that makes you feel very welcome, and shares all her knowledge about the area. The cottage itself is large, clean and comfortable, with airco both in the living and in the bedroom (not when there's loadshedding) and with a lovely patio (with water sprayers for cooling). Parking right in front of the cottage. WiFi was good, also during loadshedding. The kitchen was well equipped and the shower was one of the best and most original we had ever seen.

We loved that we felt right at home. It’s such a cosy place, the owners pay a lot of attention to detail and they make the stay even better. Very private and has enough space to lounge and cook and just relax.

What a splendid place to stay; a surprisingly nice welcome - no wonder Manuela, the host, has worked for international airlines and knows what guests need after a long drive through the Karoo; newly build guesthouse; cosy and tastefully furnished room; very good beds; modern bathroom; nice garden with pool, rich and varied breakfast; very quit location in walking distance to all points of interest in Graaf Reinet (and GR is safe to venture out on feet!) Manuela and Yugal were very helpful in making bookings and arrangements. In case you happen to tay over the weekend don't miss out on Manuelas dinner. She is a very good chef as well. And don' forget to visit New Bethesda with the Bushmen Heritage Museum, The Ibis Restaurant and the Stonefolks

The shower. It's a very unique shower but not very wash-friendly.

Very beautiful and comfortable unit. Well equipped kitchen with much appreciated aircons during the summer heat. The unit also has a back-up generator during loadshedding.

Really comfortable cottage, very nicely and originally decorated. Ria-Lize and Jaco are friendly and generous hosts. It was a real pleasure to stay there. Great breakfast. Fully recommended!

We are dog lovers, but the big dog (Rhodesian Ridgeback) is out of control (incessantly jumping on people, coming into the house and at one stage becoming aggressive when we tried to get him out). It would be OK if they come in, listen and lie down, but they were jumping, begging and intrusive. A little fence at the entrance door would create a boundary. We had to keep 2 of the 3 doors (entrances accessing the common property) closed all the time and then stumble over the dogs and push them off us when we stepped out. The owners are lovely though.

Well equipped and a central base to sightseeing in the region. Very friendly family. Cute oasis.

This facility-which is a house not a cottage had every conceivable item that you would want to find in your own home. Not just every item but of good quality and quantity. A few examples : 1) Three large ice trays, filled. Possible because they had a decent sized fridge/freezer not a bar fridge. 2) A basting brush for the braai......a great Lapa braai by the way. 3). Opportunity to purchase home industry items nicely displayed. That is smart. My wife loves buying something local to take back home. This saves you time and no need to find a place to shop.
