The rooms and bathrooms aren't super modern, so if you are looking for all the mod cons it may not be the place for you.

The views from the guesthouse were incredible. Lovely hosts, really helpful and with plenty of good information and ideas to help us get the most out of our stay in Knysna. We were in the twin room the first night which was ok, but the owners were kind enough to change us to the double for the second night, and the double room with the private balcony was really lovely. The guesthouse as a whole has a very homely feel to it, cosy, comfortable, and with a good welcome! It's in a safe area, and you could walk to/from town in the day but it is up a steep hill. Good parking available though.

Plug points next to beds would be great. Maybe a fridge in the room.

The owners were incredible and so helpful. They suggested wonderful places to go, that we never even knew about. Absolutely delicious breakfast every morning.

A very nice and cozy, a bit old style, but still comfortable guest house. Super friendly owner and good breakfast. Nicely situated close to the centre. Beautiful views.

The location perhaps, but I only say this as I did not have transport Maybe a generator for loadshedding would have made it perfect, but that too was no trainsmash

Ideal place to break away some to Owners are just the friendliest on earth, willing to assist where possible Got a fright when the dog came out, only to find him even friendlier! Great stay!

Advise not walking to Thiesen. The dogs next door never shut up. All night, they bark. Mart and Peter have done what they can. In fact, while writing this, Peter was trying to quite that dog. 😄

The room is great. The bed is comfortable. And the place is safe on the premises. The hummingbird feeders. The gluten-free toast that Mart provided was a nice touch. Peter is a fountain of knowledge and fun to talk to. I highly suggest an extra 2 hours a day to learn from him as if you were on a tour. Or you can pay 1100R to see the Featherbed Reserve by Ferry (highly recommended). When visiting this property, you feel like family. The flowers and the unique birds and Peter's knowledge of them is a bird 🐦 watchers fantasy. Parking is good, and the property is small enough that you are not overwhelmed with quests. You can also get your laundry done and without a dryer for cottons at about 100R a load. Resteraunts are all less than 10 mins by car. Do not walk there.

Very warm and welcoming hosts with a deep knowledge on the area and beyond. Martas breakfast was outstanding and whole property made to indulge and relax. It is totally safe and still close enough to the town centre to walk. There is nothing to complain at all :)

The hosts are hostile. We were visited before checkout time to be told the room is desperately needed for another guest. We were about 15 minutes late and the owner racially insulted us by saying "you people are a problem and not a solution to our country" They literally kicked us out when we challenged his language and the selection of racist words in addressing us. This happens after they served us on two mornings, breakfast with hair. When we politely excused ourselves from breakfast on the third morning, that's when their attitude changed. We were polite when we told them that there was human hair in our breakfast. We even showed the lady the hair that we found on the second day. On the first day we said nothing because we thought it was a mistake. My advice to them is that they should indicate on their adverts that they are intolerant of other races. There is no way that 15 minutes delay on checkout can lead to the racial abuse we experienced at that place. What has that got to do with us being a problem in the country? Why were they that angry when we tried to stay out of their way throughout our stay? We were minding our business until the lady came to tell us that she needs the room by ten. It was not ten o'clock yet when she came to tell us that. We acknowledge what she was saying because we knew that we were expected to checkout at ten. 15 MINUTES of late checkout did not warrant the behaviour of the owner. They knew that my partner was sick, and we even went to the doctor. They even recommended doctors for us. My partner was on strong antibiotics, and it was not easy to get him out of bed because he had bad nights. This was the worst experience for us and we took a decision not to ever book in Knysna for a holiday. This place, we are yet to give a proper review. We took a video of what transpired. The welcoming was great, but the exit was horrible. His racist behavior is totally unacceptable!!!

    Absolutely nothing.
