Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United StatesI highly suggest NOT using the tour company they recommend as i was cheated out of my money, and not sure if the hotel was in on it as well, plus the tour was HIGHLY overpriced. Use viator website to get your tours, at least you can see the ratings. The security door to the rooms are extremely loud, so you hear it banging all night. I asked housekeeping to not go in the room which they continually did, which is a good thing, but I had a bad experience in another country where my items were stolen, so I preferred them not to be there while I wasn't there.
The rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable. The bed was really comfortable as well as the pillows.

Great breakfast, fantastic, friendly staff. The hotel is a hub for the local creative community so a lot of interesting people to look at, talk to etc. Roof top bar, basement jazz club. Great massages.

Stunning rooftop. The panoramic views of Johannesburg from the rooftop are truly breathtaking, especially during sunset. Additionally, the staff at the hotel were very nice, and the food was good.

The rooftop and the Marabi Club are excellent. I recommend the sunset and a cocktail on the rooftop. The view and atmosphere are amazing. Staff is also very kind and profesional.

SpainThe location was not good, It is a dangerous area. That is not a problem of the hotel but you have to move by car anywhere (Although the hotel staff is always checking for the safety). The breakfast is always the same. The hot water did not work well.
The staff was amazing, really kind and helpfull. The hotel has a nice decoration and good ambience. Everybody with a smile. The bedroom is ok with big size and the bed is confortable.

South AfricaThe restaurant had awful service, to an extent where our breakfast was not only almost 2hrs late, my food order was also late. Sadly, with much frustration I ended up not eating the food. Truly, don’t come with high hopes when you order food, though according to the manager/supervisor they only booked a SINGLE chef knowing very well they had hosted an event the night before. Food was so disappointing!
I loved the clean bedding and exceptional customer service. From the entrance gate you are welcome with sunny faces. Which makes it a pleasure to be there.
