The location is not really in walking distance from the restaurants and everything that matters in Knysna. The hosts told me I could indeed walk and take a taxi back, and that's what I did, but I felt like the way to the city center is not very pleasant, at least 20 of the 30/35 minutes you just walk along the N2 or some kind of industrial road. I would not do that again.

The hosts were very nice, they gave me a lot of information about Knysna and the area. The breakfast was amazing, one of the best I ever had in a hotel/guest house. The room was very beautiful and clean and the views were great.

Safe location with safe on site parking. Good hosts, and good breakfast. Rooms reasonable size, well equipped and clean, nice balcony with excellent views over the bay and the heads. Appreciated the lovely pool as it was hot when we visited.

i had an amazing stay at Hideaway Guesthouse. Colleen and Cecil were very welcoming and helpful, provided many tips of what to do in the area and always available for a chat. the bed was really comfortable, the room very spacious, the view over the lagoon really stunning

Ceciel and Colleen are very hospital en friendly people. They advised us were to go and were to eat. The Guest House is A gem stone in the aeria. we stayed an extra night becauce we liked it So must.

It is close to the N2 and there is road noise, but it quiets down in the evening. We spent 3 nights and didn’t notice it much after a while.

Excellent hospitality, Colleen and Cecil went out of their way to make our stay memorable. Delicious breakfast cooked to order, spotlessly clean room and very comfortable bed as well as an efficient laundry service. Their tips for local restaurants and golf courses were spot on. The hosts have a wealth of local knowledge and gave us a lot of useful advice. Was a genuine pleasure to spend 4 days here.

Very friendly owners, welcoming to a group of runners and non-runners for an ideal weekend break! Colleen and Cecil were extremely accommodating, bustling with information about Knysna and surrounds and were kind enough to arrange shuttle services and bookings for dinner for the group. Brilliantly tucked away, but ideally close to the Waterfront, shopping Centres and the Knysna Marathon finishing field. Can't wait to visit again.
