How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The ramp to the parking lot is unfriendly since my car was low it was scratching my bumper whenever i drove in and out

The Lift was covered with sale which makes it stuffy
Our apartment was clean and well organised. Its safe . A walking distance to the beach , The mall is 5km away in a cool Environment.

Honestly speaking nothing. I can't discredit the place.
I liked everything about the place. Its cleanliness. The staff was very welcoming. I liked that the place is closer to the beach. There was no loadshedding.

It was extremely hot, the fan helped a little. There was no dishwashing liquid in the container, it was finished. WiFi connection gave a little of a hassle maybe because of loadshedding? YouTube kept on kicking us out.
Gorgeous view and very comfortable beds. Cutlery provided was more than enough and the blender came into good use. Towels provided were clean. Extra bedding was provided if needed. Netflix and YouTube readily available for use was a plus. Microwave, iron, kettle and stove worked well.

A washing machine would have been very helpful. Apart from that, everything was on point.

The staff coming at 8:00 to put us under pressure and out of the apartment even though our check out was 9-10, We were not ready to leave we couldn't even bath we had to dress immediately pack up and leave. The kitchen some stuff we found very dirty especially the ones right at the back of cupboards/drawers. It seemed as though they only clean a few of the stuff that are in front.
Hightide apartment was so comfortable and family friendly. The location and ocean view was amazing

The unavailability of dish cloths and the dish washing liquid in the apartment.
The location of the Apartment is amazing. It's proximity to the Toti main beach, fuel station and also a shopping complex is wonderful!

There was nothing that we didn't like, everything was super cool.
Everything, we really enjoyed our stay, it was so splendid; main beach, restaurants and shops just in a walking distance. The ocean breeze right inside the rooms, wow!!! The comfort of the beds, clean towels and linen, the apartment itself is classy.

non sufficient cleaning equipment like dishwashers, otherwise everything else was proper.

Overall, I had a very positive experience staying at your apartment. Firstly, I was impressed with the location. It was very central, with easy access within walking distance to the beach. The neighborhood felt safe and secure, and I had no concerns about my personal safety during my stay. The apartment itself was well-equipped and spacious. I appreciated the thoughtful touches such as a fully stocked kitchen with all the necessary appliances and utensils, a comfortable bed with fresh linens, and plenty of storage space for my belongings. The bathroom was also clean and modern, and I had no issues with the water pressure or temperature. One of the standout features of the apartment was the beautiful view. It was the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine while taking in the sights. The communication with the host was also excellent. They were always quick to respond to my messages and were very accommodating with my check-in and check-out times. Overall, I would highly recommend this holiday apartment to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
