3 minor issues which won't stop us from returning: 1. We checked in on a Saturday so there was a bit of noise from other units. Someone was playing loud music, but thankfully it was old school cool music which I enjoyed. No fault of the host 2. There was no power to plug points in both the bedrooms so we had to charge all our devices in the kitchen and I wasn't able to do my hair in front of a mirror or use the fans provided. 3. Toilets were clean, but the toilet seats in both bathrooms could do with a replacement.

The amazing view! The great location. Clean apartment with comfy beds and great shower. I loved falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean. Sometimes the pictures posted on the sites are not a true representation of reality. This was definitely not the case with Hightide..what you see is what you get..thankfully:-)

The gate sensor or beam must/should have be installed on the outside wall not the inside wall reason being for it to actually close after the car is out of sight because the entrance gate on the ground floor gate closes too quick and it ended up banging and scratching my car or else they must make it to be like the others to slide to the side, I think many tried to race away to avoid the gate and ended up scratching or driving to the wall in-front of the car thus so many scratches on the wall. Just replay the CCTV footage and see what happened, the gate closes too quick while one is still trying to maneuver the vehicle out of the building.

Visited a lot of places including Durban North Coast but this is officially our top holiday destination for all times even though our stay was not that long but at least it worked wonders for us, as for the kids cannot stop reminiscing and asking about when we going back to Durban..

The location was great, it was very clean and well equipped. The WiFi and access to Netflix and Showmax was a bonus. Our stay was excellent!

Please consider a TV in the bedroom as I could not get news update since the remote was always on the "little hands, LOL"

Check in was supposed to be at 14:00. Host advised to check in at 14:15 but we only checked in after 15:00 because the host did not notice the access tag for parking was not available and it was a mission to get a hold of the host. We were still expected to check out on time even though we were delayed by the host to check in. 1 towel was expected to be used for 5 days.. Host should communicated with guests to bring their own bath towels like they did regarding beach towels. Had to buy more towels because host again was unhelpful in supplying towels.

Furniture needs to be updated e.g headboards we're worn out. View from Main bedroom was a abandoned house which wasn't pleasant. No dstv only Netflix and YouTube. We were told we can check out by 9:00am to 10:00am but by 8:00am cleaner was outside our door waiting to clean so we had to rush to check out .

Pool area was great, laundry service awesome, the apartment was clean.

The electrician was attending to the stove when we arrived. Stove was fixed but the electrician said that he had to come the next day to sort out the wiring. The stove did not have any marking as to which plate was on or not. The bath tub had a bath stopper but it was stuck down that we could not get it out. Water was standing in the bath all the time as it could not go down so we could not use the bath tub at all. We was told to leave the key inside the lodge which we did, only to realize that we could not get out of the place. I had to call the security guard to assist us. This rule should be deleted from the rule book that you have in the lodge. This was very disappointing. I will not book again at High Tide.

It was a self catering accomodation

Flat too high. Unsafe when windows are open. Children can easiliy fall out. Some plugs did not work. Did report it. It was ignored and no one came to fix it. Parking space allocated very small and tight. Struggled with bakkie to get it in and out.

The bedding in the main bedroom was not clean The towel in the bathroom was not clean The pillows smelled of mould We had electricity issues and stayed without electricity for 4 hours, the only contact we had was for the cleaning lady and she was rude The caretaker didn't attend to the electricity issue on time everyone was relaxed about the issue as though we were there for free.

The ocean view and the size of the rooms were great
