Very accommodating, friendly staff and hosts, great value for money, and DELICIOUS food @ restaurant

Wifi signal only one or two bars at some units, but great reception at restaurant area

Convenience restaurant on property with very friendly staff and great food and service. The hosts, Graig and Jacqui are very friendly and makes you feel right at home. The walk through the game park to the dam is a beautiful experience.

The host was not contactable one night when there was suddenly no water, we had to find a security guard who managed to sort things out for us

Units were cleaned daily, dishes were washed. Free wi-fi was appreciated. They also supplied free charcoal and bottled drinking water

Maintenance needs attention, cracks in walls and mould stains in showers. Unit was clean but looks a bit rundown in places. Grass in front of unit was too long. We asked for the jacuzzi to be filled but the water smelled terrible so we were unable to use it.

The location is good, easy access to the Hluhluwe/Imfolozi Park. Great to have shop, restaurant, weavers and brewery and nature walk nearby. The unit was well appointed and clean to a degree. Appreciated the firelighters, firewood, tea/coffee station, insect spray and fresh water bottle.

I've rescheduled our stay from 14-15 October to 18&19 November, when we arrive there, the cottage was taken by someone else, yet I've contacted the manager of the cottages, and I also received an email confirming my dates. Very very disappointed.

The cottage needs a really good cleaning. There are are spider webs on the ceiling, dirt in the corners, the fridge wasn't clean, and so on. Felt really grimy. Could use some updating. No wifi in the cottage!!!

The cottage was a good size, well stocked kitchen, two good bedrooms with comfy beds. Lovely view out the back with a ice little deck. Lots of parking and a nice little restaurant/brew pub on site.

Upon arrival at the lodge one of the beds were undone, there were spiders and spiders webs on the ceiling above the main bed, as well as on the bed rest. The corners of the room were not swept either. We requested for someone to come clean up. After an hour of waiting the most rude, and unfriendly lady arrived, she had told us we arrived early so she didn't finish with the lodge. Surely if she didn't finish we would have STILL found her cleaning up on arrival, we were only early by 15 minutes or so. She proceeded to dust the spiders and the webs onto the bed, then she just left it like that spiders and things on the bed. Then she said she's done. I was happy to see her leave because her attitude stank. I was so exhausted from 5 hours of travel i didnt want to kick up a fuss further. We couldn't even use the kettle it was absolutely filthy on the inside. The next day the floors were not swept nor surfaces wiped or dusted when we got back from the Hluhluwe game reserve I did it myself. When we had a braai we discovered the braai area not cleaned out. Unfortunately it is people like this with a dont care attitude that gives a good place a bad name sadly

This place is so relaxing and comfortable it has a sort of rustic atmosphere feel, with family-friendly amenities. It is definitely worth the experience. It is ideally situated as it allows easy access to the towns features: shops, garages, nature reserves, etc We received a warm welcome from the lovely receptionist, who was extremely friendly.

First off your rules clearly state on your or booking.coms website that between 21h00 and 7h00 there should be no noise. Well that did not happen. At about 9h00 or 9h30 one hell of a noisy party started with people shouting louder than the music for what seemed like days. Second off we were in no 3 the people in 1 and 2 were really loud! Then the loadshedding and the fact that you have no generator for the cottages. We had loadshedding 3 times a day for 4 hours at a time. You do not stipulate on your site that you do not have generators for cottages. We were more without power than on and could not keep anything fresh in the fridge. We were looking forward to a nice weekend away from our hectic life and it turned out to be a disappointment.

The Cottage was stunning. Comfortable beds clean and tidy. Bathroom shower toilet top notch. Your restaurant staff is friendly and helpful. Your receptionist is perfect!

I did not like the bathrooms, the uncomfortable furniture, the old bedding, the 1 ply half used toilet rolls, the spa bath that is stuffed, the cleanliness of the place and nor the ant hills in the lounge..Very disappointed, left a day early..

The nearby restaurant and standby generator so load shedding didn't effect us.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Hluhluwe Cottages. The cottage was so neat, cosy and honestly a home away from home! Wifi worked well and we enjoyed hot showers in this chilly climate. Thank you for the amazing hospitality and we will definitely be back again!
