‘welcome’ was very rushed. Not very accommodating for a late light lunch. pool was out of order

We felt the initial welcome was a bit cold. The manager on the second day however more than made up for any shortcoming by offering use of a room for the day as we explored the city and could safely store luggage. This was hugely appreciated.

Very beautiful Hotel in a wonderful garden with Pool and palms. The Room was very clean, comfortable and Big. Big and comfortable bathroom. very nice staff. the Gin Tonic at the Terrasse was fantastic. We Stays unfortunately only one night as a Step over.

It’s too bad that they do not have an option for dinner and that you will need food to have delivered instead for dinner

The garden is just wonderful and the rooms are spacious and clean.we haven’t spend any time at all in Johannesburg itself but taxi’s and restaurants (for delivery) were all very close. Breakfast was delicious. What we really did appreciate a lot is that when they heard we had a late night flight, they offered us a room near the pool we could stay in during the day.

Nothing. This place is definately a must and should really be considered as the place to stay.

The entire stay was wonderful. We arrived to beautiful scenery with exceptionally welcoming staff. The room was gorgeous and immaculate. It was warm and welcoming and the hotel is some of the most gorgeous accommodation we have stayed at yet. The food was wonderful. Could not recommend a better place in the hustle and bustle of the city.

The location is a safe harbor in the messy Jobo - beautiful, historical building with comfy huge room and beautiful decors. The garden with pool is a real plus, and the location is very close to Mandela Sq and some of the best restaurants in town.

Shower didn't drain easily - drain was blocked. Sprinklers came on just after 5 am and hit the bedroom window which makes some noise.

The property is centrally located in Sandton a few minutes' drive from Mandela Square. The grounds were impressive and very well maintained. Breakfast was great and freshly prepared to order. The room was very spacious and the bed comfortable.

Little things. I didn't have a hanging closet in my room. Maybe it was removed because I had asked for a desk to be brought in (which was very nice of them). I didn't ask, so maybe my bad. Generally as a traveller in my early 30s I feel Sandton does not give of very homey vibes. It is a bit stale. Melville is more for me. But that is just me and nothing the owners can change. Overall, you can't go wrong with this guesthouse.

This is a georgeous and very safe place. The garden and pool is simply stunning. The breakfast is also great. Super comfortable rooms. Ac and generator are also a plus.

I requested a late check in since my flight arrived late at night and everything went pretty smoothly. Felt very secure within the property and the staff was lovely. They also kindly upgraded me to a suite which was a pleasant surprise. Breakfast options were great and also had a little nespresso machine. The garden was beautiful and was a peaceful place to hang around in. Overall had a lovely stay.

The only criticism I have is that the shower was backed up and wouldnt drain.

This is a gorgeous, large estate from the 1930s. It has a lot of character and the outdoor garden is stunning. Our room had its own private garden/sitting area and the room itself was very spacious and very comfortable. The location is central and the surrounding area is safe. I wish we could have stayed here longer.

It’s a very cute hotel with gardens surrounding the house. Our room was massive and well decorated. The bed was comfy. It’s close to restaurants and located in a safe area. We enjoyed our omelette breakfast, too.
