We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

South AfricaProperty could use abit of upkeep and the floors were abit dusty. Despite this, all our basic needs were met and we were comfortable.
We informed the host of our arrival prior to our time and they were ready to receive us with the keys and house rules. We had the entire house to ourselves; no other listing could match (or come close to) the price for a place to host 7 adults and a baby. Each bedroom had its own shower & toilet. The hosts were very friendly and caring, responded quickly to messages and accommodated our special requests.

South AfricaWe followed the map on Booking.com at "Get Directions" but ended up at the wrong address at first. After the property address itself was searched on google maps we eventually reached the correct address. Please make certain that Booking.com has placed the house at the correct address.
The owner was concerned about his guests and made certain that we were satisfied with the stay.

South AfricaVery poorly kept property. No bins in the kitchen and bathrooms. There were no mirrors in the bedrooms. No dressing tables, hairdryers or convenient plug points. The bedrooms were supplied with 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel which makes no sense for a couple sharing a room. The ironing board was broken. The bathrooms are just too small with shower panels missing. half toilet rolls in each bathroom. The kitchen has broken cupboards and really dirty inside the cupboards. Wall and tiles are really untidy with fixtures missing. There was lots of ants everywhere.
The location was good, close to Alberton city.

South AfricaThe bathrooms were not cleaned properly. Found hair on and around the toilet. The house needs some TLC. Some of sheets on beds had stains. The rooms with added bathrooms are cramped up to fit in a toilet and shower in each room and moving around in rooms are difficult.

South Africa1) There is a R500 deposit payable on arrival which is not stated in the listing on booking.com from the owner. 2) Lovely place but if you want complete privacy this is not the place. Staff just walk into the house, they literally just open the front door and back door and walk right in and do what they need to. Not a fan of that as I really like my privacy and would appreciate when booking accomodation on a reputable site to atleast get some privacy. 3) Even tho the advert says WHOLE HOUSE. They didn't specify the terms and conditions of that. If you book 4 rooms for 4 adults directly through booking.com, you expect there to be 4 rooms for 4 adults, which in this case would be the whole house. That's not the case here. We were 4 adults and 3 rooms they locked the 4th bedroom and bathroom opposite that room. Can't understand why when on the listing it says whole property. would be nice to know all the correct things about booking this place on their listing.

South AfricaThere was only 2 forks, so the cutlery needs some small tlc and the yard is still in construction... some building material, unfinshed swimming pool project... and it needs a electric fence for safety. And maybe a braai area. But i think it will be a great place to stay when they are finish.
