The staff, especially the security, were helpful and friendly. Having read a number of bad reviews, the room was clean, comfy, and well equipped. Would stay there again.

we had an issue with accessing our keys the first night, we arrived very late and the reception area was closed and the security staff kept going in circles.

the location, makes the hotel accessible, close to the V&A and other amenities and the place is quite neat and clean too. the ambience and security were perfect

Some small maintenance needs to happen. For example, the door is a little tired.

Location was great but difficult to find entrance to the parking. Had to call the lady on duty for the keys and she was exhausted and wanted to go home. No contactability at all on the cell number left in the room even during operating hours. We had 1 small beer glass probably to share....don't know was the thinking. No juice or wine glasses, no wine opener. Had to ask the cleaner to arrange and she came with Champaigne glasses. There was lot of long hair on the shower walls, and we were disgusted as I don't even have hair myself. dining chair was not stable and not comfortable to use as it was on the verge of breaking

The craftsmanship of the apartment is poor, including the bathroom towel rail is falling off. Further the apartment is sparsely furnished - can do with some carpets.

The Icon is very well located in the CBD, very close to all the Cape Town attractions, and walkable distance to the Waterfront. The apartment is very clean and spacious, with lovely inner-city views.

They said they don’t clean rooms on Sundays and Public Holidays. The didn’t clean my room on the second which was not a Sunday nor a public holiday

Great location in CBD and on the main Long street which is a great vibe with bars and restaurants. The apartments themselves were well equipped, comfy and had incredible city and mountain views. Add to all this, a fully equipped gym and pool with a sun deck. Was definitely value for money. Also loved the safe underground parking and controlled keycard access for all doors and gates.

Location was good. 10 minutes walking from the Citybus tours on Long Street and 15 mins from the V&A Waterfront. There’s good breakfast options on the ground floor.

The communication and check in was not great. We picked up our keys at 1.30pm just before check in time of 2pm. We couldn't get in our rooms immediately as they were still being cleaned, which was ok. The problem was when we went back later to move into our apartment the security guard who was at the desk was very rude and unprofessional.

The place is conveniently located near the V&A Waterfront. My family of five loved the place. We would stay here again if in Capetown

The securities were not helpful. They were not interested in assisting us. We struggled to find the apartment since clear instructions/directions were not given to us by the security guards.

The apartment was clean and beautiful. It was big enough to accommodate four people.

Aqueela was such a pleasure to work with. The room was spacious and had aircon which was a bonus on hot Cape Town summer days.

What I did not like where the couches, they were not ideal after coming from an entire day full of activities. Also outside the furniture is worn-out. The cleaners did not come on Saturday and Sunday, we did not know what to do with the full bin.

The beds were comfortable, location was ideal. Apartment was tranquil. No loadshedding. Pool was clean. Security visibility was comforting. Dstv was working. Wifi was working.
