Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Czech RepublicI did not like the fact that the accommodation is not in the place that is indicated on the map. I chose the accommodation according to its location in the countryside, so I was disappointed that it was actually a few kilometres away. There was also a problem when arriving and then finding the actual place. You should correct the position on the map. Fortunately everything else was already in order.

South AfricaOne problem was the road in as it had been raining and not easy to access with a normal car. It was a little hair raising trying to slip and slid down the road. This is something that should be mentioned.
It was accommodation only. Overall the little huts that you stay in are perfect for a night stop. They have DSTV and aircon which is great for the warm summer evenings.

South AfricaThe wooden chalet/hut/cottage was full of red ants, which they probably know about, because everywhere is blue death on the walls and floors. Could not sleep because the ants were everywhere, had to move the bed to the middle of the hut, and still it didn't keep the ants away. It went in our clothing and food that we took with us for the weekend. The front view from the cottage was a broken truck, looking like a scrapyard. We had to look for other accommodation for Saturday night (3 Dec). which we couldn't sleep in the ant nest again. If I could, I would have post all the photo's of this disgusting ant nest, but unfortunately I can only post 4. I write this to people who expect a nice clean stay and not a ant nest. Rather book inside Mkuze Game Reserve, much better antless chalets. Booking.com, I ask you to please see that I get refunded for Saturday night (3 December 2022) as you can clearly see the photo's you have on your site is definately not the same than this ant nest.

South AfricaThere was load music coming from one of the establishments within the lodge, and then the water pipe burst so we had no water and couldn't take a shower, then they switched of the electricity while fixing the water pipe, and the dstv doesn't work.
The staff was friendly I must say, but besides that there's nothing else I liked, my stay there was a nightmare to say the least, I actually checked out the same day I had arrived.
