The trees are not given shape, so busy. No lights on the driveway. A bigger signage outside, the entrance gate is not popping, you will miss the gaye

Nothing, we liked everything at the lodge.

What a great place to stay and unwind!! The lodge is in a busy neighborhood, but you forget all about the noise and the traffic once you enter the premises. There's a small, safe shopping center within walking distance where you can buy food etc. The lodge itself is beautiful with a swimming pool and a large entertainment/relaxation area next to it. David is an awesome host and very friendly, he was always around if we needed him. We booked a studio which is huge and has everything you need. The beds were very comfortable. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely return again.

Honestly a truly wonderful place to stay with exceptional staff, particularly Lorato & Pitso. Place is well managed by Davidë. Very clean & beautiful gardens. Like a mini Game Reserve. Rooms are very large and spacious and beds are very comfy. Highly recommended! You will not be disappointed.

Approximity of airport and roads (hey, its in the city!) causes traffic noise, so for a real peaceful sleep just take ear protection with you.

Beautiful hidden gem with safari resort size and feeling. Geraldine and David were wonderful hosts, very supportive in all means. Excellent dinner served! Our kids also loved the stay, thanks again!

The place is really beautiful, the pics dont do it justice. Its very family friendly, our boys loved playing with the dog and cat so this was a bonus. Location perfect as we were attending the airshow - watched the afternoon part from the lodge. Chris and the staff are super friendly, and made us feel at home. A true gem.

I stayed at Ikamu's Lodge with my husband and daughter for a week, we came to Johannesburg for a wedding, the place is actually better than the photos. The owner Daivd is very helpful and friendly, the place is very clean, he has a whole team of staff to look after the place. We took lots of good photos of the African decor, while we are actually in the city. There are shops and restaurants just around the corner, free parking is available and the electric gate is very convenient to get in and out of the place. The electric blanket and log fire were lovely (we went in the winter, cold at night). We will definitely stay there again next time we go to Johannesburg.

Best accommodation in Johannesburg. The lodge is cosy and has everything you need. Friendly and very helpfull owners. Nice breakfast and in the evening a well decorated spot for a fire or braai. the accommodation is very safe and cars can be parked at the walled premises.

What a fantastic find! We spent 1 night either side of our safari at this lodge which was a wonderful experience. The rooms are lovely, spotless, comfy bed, netflix etc. The actual lodge itself is beautiful, and much bigger than it looks in the photos. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and we opted for the dinner in the evening which was plentiful and yummy! There is also a big supermarket 2 minutes walk from the lodge which was great for snacks/lunch. Overall, a great place to base yourself if you are in the area but don't fancy staying in town, and want somewhere nice to relax!
