The Hide away cottage is very private and well equipped. The scenery is so beautiful the staff is very welcoming and is very attentive. I was very impressed with the level of attention to detail they had and they even made the room setup romantic when we arrived. There’s also daily room cleaning services.

The roads are not made for small cars but it's off-road so I guess this is implied..

The villa was wonderful, clean. The staff were friendly and really meticulous when cleaning. The villa's location was near a waterhole and salt lick - which led to attracting zebra, wildebeest and giraffes. We made use of the Ngiri Safari's sunrise game drive, alongside the mobile spa services of Shazz' Mobile Spa which involved the masseuse setting up at the villa for us.

There was no power when we arrived, it came back a few hours before sunset, and then again Saturday from midday there was no power. In the evening it was on and off until we checked out on Sunday

They were too many chairs, could use a couch maybe 2 or 3 less chairs.

The kitchen supplies, it was fully equipped. They had a hairdryer. The furniture, it was well furnished. The quality of their staffs services, amazing.

Cynthia was an amazing host , She provided clear instructions on getting to the venue. She helped me organise the room in a romantic way. From the moment we arrived we were greeted amazingly with a cold towel and a warm welcome . The room was amazing , clean and had all equipment for self catering. The outside shower is a treat and the animal watering hole that’s close by will make sure you have a great view of the animals

The food selection at the restaurant. It could be better. Also the gravel road, it was too rough.

The location of our villa, close to the watering hole. The interior and furnishings were gorgeous. The friendliness of the staff. I didn't want to leave. At first I was worried about there not being a TV, but the place is so tranquil and many board games, it allowed for more intimacy with my husband.

We had extremely hot days. Which was lovely. Roof/ceiling clearly has no insulation? If the little windows on top were reachable and opened maybe hot air could escape? Don’t know. So we kept electric fans on all the time which did the trick. But then we couldn’t hear the bush at night.

Let´s start with the beginning: Everybody complains about the main gravel road which connects Hammanskraal with most of the lodges in Dinokeng. Yes, it is not great. But you can do it with a sedan (we drove in a Polo Vivo), if you do not mind some bumping and slow driving. I know some tar roads in the Freestate wich are way more difficult to drive. Gate procedure is a breeze, guards are friendly and helpful. Payment for entrence fee cashless only. The map provided with the permit is not totally up-todate, but generally it is hard to get lost as the tracks are well signpostet. Once you arrinvee - you get very clear directions by the owners – your check-in will probably done by Cythnia. She is nice and helbful in any way (so ist he rest of the staff). The hot towel for the face was as appreciated by us as the cold fruit cocktail. These are the fine details which are typical for his establishment. WiFi is reasonable fast and availble in the whole lodge. Pool ist not to big, but as everything here, spotless clean. We stayed in a safari tent. Outdoor kitchen is very well equipped, everything is brandnew or well maintained. Our private Boma turned out as a real romantic place. And a safe one: They provide not only small branches to start the fire more easily. Even a bucket with water is on site to kill the fire after braai is done. We rarely enjoyed such a great spot elsewere in SA… As Dinokeng is in some way directly connected to ESCOM, there is no loadshadding. However, during our stay a heavy thunderstorm came down and damaged eletricity supply. Not that bad as it seems, staff came and supplied bags of ice for the fridge, gas stoves for cooking and more lanterns. In the same time, owners send WhatsApp messages around about the situation. It was a good example how well organised this place is. Just to add, nearest filling station/supermarket is in Hammanskraal. Should not take you more than 40 minutes. Add half an hour or so, and yo

From the time we checked in to the time we checked out we were treated like kings, the service from Cynthia was exceptional, iv been to more than 50 resorts nd hotels iv never seen such a humble, caring nd customer oriented person like her. I loved everything about the place. We booked the Hideaway cabin, it exceeded our expectations

We missed the turn off. Directions should state turn left at the brown signage board before the boom, not easy to spot the military fence beforehand

When you are outside on the veranda, you can sometimes hear the neighbours if they are outside.

The staff was very friendly. The view on the waterhole was great! We saw lots of animals, including rhinos.

The roads. The road to iKhaya LamaDube and the reserve is not ideal for a normal small vehicle. Although one has the option to pay the breakage deposit through EFT, it would have been ideal if the lodge had card facilities as some guests do not carry cash with them.

The venue is extremely neat and well-kept. The accommodation is spotless clean and modern. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The braai area is excellent, it's clean and well-maintained. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by Phillip and Sylvia and offered a refreshment towel and a very nice fruit cocktail which I thought was very professional and caring.
