The location of the accommodation is extremely good, Dunkley Square also provides entertainment in the evening, while the city center is a few minutes' walk away (during the day). The atmosphere of the rooms is great, the view of the Table Mountain from the rooms with a balcony is fantastic (not all rooms face the mountain, and they don't have a balcony either, but they are larger and have a refrigerator). The breakfast is delicious and varied, and the kindness and helpfulness of the staff is extraordinary. We'll be back!

Some nights were really hot. There is no A/C. I think in general it's not needed, but would have been nice on one or two occasions. -There was a fan, which helped.

Hotel has lots of character, it's in a neighborhood that feels local, not touristy. I loved my balcony. The breakfast was great and the staff was always happy to answer questions and provide guidance. I would definitely come back.

A lovely affordable African themed hotel with Table Mountain views!
    • Leisure trip
    • Family with young children
    • Double Room
    • Stayed 4 nights

Whilst lovely, there are a few things that guests should be aware of. The hotel has no air conditioning in the rooms, and the bathroom also floods very easily as there is no floor drainage. Whilst not an issue of the accommodation itself as it unfortunately occurs everywhere in South Africa, the hotel also suffers from regular load shedding which affects your ability to use power at specific times on certain days. Whilst the accommodation does have 24/7 security and the entrance doors are locked at night (guests will receive a key), be aware that the lodge is located in a high-crime area of the city.

The accommodation is styled in a lovely African way, very affordable and usually includes a yummy breakfast. The staff are a delight and the overall setting is very cosy. If you are fortunate enough to get a Table Mountain-facing room, you will have a stunning view! Alternatively, the rooms on the other side of the building have no notable view yet cost the same.

We loved every minute az iKhaya Lodge. The staff was super friendly, room was cleaned every day perfectly. Breakfast was top and huge portions. They even remembered to our drink choices :) There is a parking lot in front of the hotel, where ot was totally safe to park our rented bar. Everything is pretty close and there is a bar in the opposite side of the park.

When you have other guests staying in the room next to yours, the walls might become rather audible. I didn't have an issue with it, but it's nice to know.

I love the personal. From the first miniute, I felt safe and welcomed - It was truly a good place to work and move around the city - The Lodge is very well located close to Long and Kloof Street and all amenities near by. With Roxy's Late Night and Maria's Greek you have two very dope restaurants across the street. The room itself was cozy and is perfect for single travelers and couples. It will get cleaned everyday by staff and on top of that - you can enjoy homemade breakfast with all your wishes. WIFI is quite strong and allows you to work easily remote!
